Actually I'm recovering from a LAN party last night. It was interesting to find others using XFX 6600 GT cards without any issues what-so-ever!!! As far as heat, I over-clock my GPU core to 525MHZ and it never gets over 70C. For your further inquiries about XFX's awesome technology know that the card will run stable at 75C. Hell, I don't even use any kind of water-cooling to keep temps down. And since I have an AMD 64 3000 939, I'm running the HTT at 5x, 219 FSB and having no stabililty problems with the core, my cheap-ass 512MB dual-channel budget DDR400 running at DDR438, and A8N-SLI board running around 1100 FSB, my graphics card memory data rate has been boosted to around 1100 as well. This creates a little more heat on the card itself since PCI is directly proportional to my configuration. Anyways, I've had my system running since last year and have had no problems with graphical degredation. I chose this card above chaintech and BFG because they didn't have the proper array of chips on the card that allow for that extra 4-5 boost in fps.
Don't be a playa hata. If I wanted to complain about my RAM I would have spent the money to go 2-2-2-5 timings instead of 4-4-4-8 that I'm running.
