Loved the original. Fun movie.

A remake obviously shouldn't have been made, but this trailer was put together well enough.

Even better, do a No Man's Land (1987)/Point Break/Drop Zone/Fast and Furious/XXX 2 crossover. It has to be XXX 2 because Vin Diesel can't play two parts. Maybe he can, if they make it that the reason he wasnt in Fast and Furious 2 was because he was in Europe doing XXX stuff. Anyways, everyone goes undercover to catch each other, then realize they are all on the same side and team up to take someone down.

original is awesome. i own the bluray of it and watched it somewhat recently. it's still great. i'l check out this trailer when i get home with sound, but doing a quick scan through it without sound, it doesn't even look anything like the original.

They threw in like 2 3 sec. clips of people surfing/or being in the water. Oh, and parachuting.

I don't recall too much of the original. Haven't seen it all the way through in at least 15 years. But I don't think I disliked it. This one...shit....

That's the thing, his performance (and a great one as well by Reeves as well) were what made the original such an awesome movie, the trailer looked as generic as vanilla ice cream. Hey, I've got an idea, stop re-making already awesome movies and re-do "Battlefield Earth" instead.

I paid so little attention to the movie the first time around I didn't even realize Jeff Goldblum was in it.

This is one of those movies it seems like I've seen a zillion times on TV but basically I only watch it until a commercial comes on or I otherwise lose interest and move on. As I recall Swazye and Reeves did their usual workmanlike performances in a rather routine action thriller-the only part that remotely drew my interest was the parachuting.

Looks to be a real moneymaker as a retread, yeah right.

That's because he wasn't in it.

I kind of liked the original movie. I was learning to surf around that time and kind of connected with the Reeves character because of that.

Not sure why this is being remade though... it really doesn't need to be.

This looks like someone was like "what if bank robbers drank a bunch of red bull and mountain dew!" in between bong hits and tried to sell it as a script. Then, someone was like "whooooooaaaa! What if, we had like, Keanu was in it." Thus, they got the next worse thing.

the remake looks nothing like the original other than it has characters named johnny utah and bodi and people robbing banks. i think the remake looks pretty entertaining but i just wish they didn't call it point break and just used different character names. had this movie came out without the point break name, i bet the reception would be different.

I think it looks fine. I won't see in the cinema, but I'll check it out if it makes it to Prime/Netflix.

Also, no one is forcing anyone to watch it... so, put your tits back in your shirts ladies, no one here has an appetite for moobs.
