Poison Ivy sucks

stupid me be super allergic to it. and with us digging basements at the co. i work for, its a minor problem.

atleast its not that bad. been slowly popping up for 2 days now.

I've had it all over my body before and it's HELL for like 2-3 weeks.

Here's a tip: For localized relief of like your hand or your foot or something, hold it under HOT water. As hot as you can stand it. Maybe the burning sensation deadens the itching? I don't know, but I've tried all the remedies, and this seems to work as good as any and it's easy; especially if you just get it on your hands or something...

Haha.

Instead of taking a damn hot bath (me being lazy as I am..) whenever my fingers/hands/neck were itchy, I just put it under the boiling teapot until it didn't itch anymore. I did get some burn marks but most of them are gone anyway The feeling is GREAT.

Only thing that actually works PERIOD but it is $$$.

Whenever I get the sh!t I always use a tube or two, get a couple of shots of decatron and a prescription to prednisone.

Luckily I'm not allergic to Poison Ivy or Poison Oak.

But as a result my Dad used to make me kill it all that was on our property when I was growing up.

never has really worked for me. i went through a tube last time and it did nothing. still have a lil.

but i have a TON of lil samples of topical steroids i was given last time iwent to the doc.

it was 85 degrees, and i had long socks on, and high boots, but shorts. i cant wear pants all damn day at 70+ degrees doing physical work.

Yep, that prescription sh$t steroid ointment/cream kicks ass on poison ivy.
