Nah, I just think it's funny to see how popular it got and so fast, and to watch everyone playing, from little kids to adults. The main lake here has people walking all over staring at their phones, it's funny to see how it brings people out. TBH I thought it was just a big fad then decided to try it... I have to admit it's a genius concept. I'm actually kinda bummed out I can't get it to work on data anymore for some reason. I have not really bothered to troubleshoot much but can't seem to find out why that is. I actually kinda want to play now. There's a super pokestop at that one lake, and you also get lot of water Pokemons.

I think it's hilarious how people were constantly bitching about kids sitting at home playing on phones and not going outside, and now there's a phone game that's making kids go outside and walk around to play, and people are bitching about THAT.

Seems like some people just want to bitch about everything.

I've been walking 3 - 5 miles a day (and I biked 15 miles the other day) and I'm at level 20. So far I've lost 10 pounds. 20 more pounds and I'll be back to being the flatbelly that I was for years previously. At 57 it feels really good to be getting back into some decent physical shape again even if it does involve a kid's game.

btw. There's bound to be idiots among the millions and millions that are playing this.

Went to the office earlier today and there were a bunch of kids and grow ups with phones in hands, eyes on them, and walked around to catch Pokemons in the downtown area. Very odd to see that much people in the CBD on a Sunday.

Nintendo’s share price on the Tokyo Stock Exchange has plummeted 17% in one day, apparently due to investors belatedly discovering that the company doesn’t actually make Pokémon Go, the latest mobile gaming phenomenon.


The company is still buoyant, though: Since the game launched in mid-July, Nintendo’s share price has more than doubled.


The cause of Monday’s decline was seemingly a statement put out by Nintendohttps://www.theguardian.com/technology/nintendo after the close of trading on Friday, the day Pokémon Go was finally released in Japan.


The statement pointed out that, despite the long-running association of Nintendo with Pokémon – an association which seems to have driven investors’ movements – it neither makes, nor owns, Pokémon Go. That fact was never hidden by any of the companies involved, and has been noted in some reports on Pokémon Go, but the fact seems to have taken investors by surprise.

An Ontario woman is facing weapons-related charges after police said Pokemon Go players were shot at with a pellet gun over the weekend.
