Herd mentality.
The most trivial semi-positive thing can turn into life/death "must have" importance if you have a legion of clowns around you all desiring it at the SAME time.
It's the internet... everything is fake.
I've yet to see anyone playing Pokemon Go. I'm thinking this is some sort of elaborate AToT hoax.

This is not the first game of this type. The developer already made one very similar years ago. It's so similar that people who played the old game (Ingress) know where all the pokestops and gyms are because the developers didn't even move them. The Pokémon license just hit the right itch I guess, but it's not a new idea.so.... I decided to download this for fun. Me and a friend decided to go around to check it out. We were just laughing thinking of all the bad scenarios people are going to get into. The first spot to get supplies was the park in front of my house, and there was a bunch of kids there. So here we are two adults walking with our phones up near where kids are playing, we're like "ok this is kind of awkward" and just laughing. Later on someone saw us and was telling us where the pokemons were "there's one overthere!" We just thought it was hilarious because people knew damn well we were playing, because they were probably playing too. While I was driving (obviously not playing at that point) we could not help but notice all the people with their phones, probably playing. Supposedly you can get certain pokemons at power plants, so I even drove to one of the dams, did not find any. Another way we get screwed by Hydro One.
Honestly, I think this will practically be a historical thing, it's such an interesting game concept that gets people of all ages in on it and it almost acts as a community thing because of the gather zones and such, it's almost like a big on going treasure hunt. Will probably spawn similar games assuming they did not patent this idea.
I wonder if this will work at the camp ground. I might not need my tacklebox when I go fishing. :awe:
Love reading the inevitable trainwreck these clowns are causing.
Just waiting for the lawsuits to come filtering in in the coming months.
Good times.
I can totally see so many injuries and even deaths come from this game, but it's not the game's fault, it's the stupidity of people.
I'm sure they must have tons of lawyers on standby for when it happens though, they probably factored that into their cost. Kinda sad when you have to do that but that's the world we live in.
They just need to counter sue more often to get rid of these frivolous lawsuits from happening as much.

I stay inside 99% of the time..... I want nothing to do with the sheeple morons of today!
WTF would you even bother playing something like this even if you were going to spoof it and sit inside ?
I'm still not interested.

That is what happens when you live in a one pony town.I've yet to see anyone playing Pokemon Go. I'm thinking this is some sort of elaborate AToT hoax.
December 2013. Ingress wasn't made to make Pokemon, it was made to improve Googles mapping of footpaths.I don't think you understand: that game was more of a test market to prepare for this game. It was only December and you'd better believe Pokemon was already in the works. They specifically used that game to crowd-source places to use as Pokestops/PokeGyms in this game.
It's getting people outside for a change.
Shut the fuck up.
Right? Aside from the idiots, and there's idiots everywhere, this is getting less social/often overweight people outside being social and walking around.
It's akin to making fun of the fat guy at the gym.
