Myself and some friends play poker at pokerstars, but more and more often it seems that things are rigged, or at the least the dealing/shuffling isn't done properly. Tonight I was playing an 18 person tourny and was dealt 5 sets of pocket aces, not to mention at least 3 sets of pocket 7s. That just doesn't happen...

That's way too many pocket Aces. What hacking program did you use?

Was going to bring that up...

He had aces five times in a hour... I think thats all real time...

There's more fishy stuff on PS that I've seen, like this.

I dont really think any of them are raondom enough. I want to start playing on them but a little hesitant to start. I mean its to their benifit if the hands are always high and close so that people will be high...giving big rakes to the table.

Too often have i see things beat that really shouldnt be when playing for money...

DO you guys trust these sites?

Fulltiltpoker is the best one I've found. Of course, I don't play for real money, that would be illegal in my state.

Pokerstars is the only place I play so far but I'm new to the whole poker thing. I might consider playing at a real-money site just to get away from the silly betting. Even though it's for play money, it's nice to get in a serious game.

Got my only straight flush ever on Pokerstars.

I've been playing PartyPoker for a few days and it seems like good hands come up way too often. If there is a pair in the community cards, I usually fold because someone has a Full House. If there are 3 of a suit, someone has a Flush. Happens way too often. Just not very realistic.

It's called random. 2 weeks ago I played for 2 1/2 hrs one day. Got 2 royal flushes and 2 straight flushes in that time span, which is far more unlikely than your pocket hands.

I'm starting to agree with you on this. I played for about an hour last night after I posted in this thread on Pacific. Hand one, pocket cowboys. Flop Jc 2c 6c. I layed it down because I knew from the way these tables play that there were two clubs out there and sure enough Ac 8c. Hand two, I'm in the bb with QdTd. Flop comes Qc 10h Kh. I stay in until the turn when Ad falls. I get out because someone's bound do have the jack. It actually turned out teo be Kc As but you get the point. Way too many times the cards on the board seem engineered to give the most amount of people the ability to make a hand and bet heavy.

yeah...while i am not computer programmer, it has to go through some kind of formula to produce the hands. Its impossible to make it truely random.

if you think online poker is rigged, don't play.

I've gotten KK, AA, KK consecutively. It happens with a large enough sample.

I play for real money on line and I can tell you that it seems a lot of cards seem to come that drive action.

I am not saying it is rigged, but the cards that come certainly tend to lend itself towards getting money in the pot.

real, but don't get excited. I was playing 1/2 shorthanded for the 2 royals, won a whopping $4.50 on the first when I raise with Ace-ten of spades, flop is KQJ of spades, I bet, other guy folds. Won 14.00 on the 2nd hand. WOOOOPPPDEEEDOOO

and screwing around with my friend in a .02/.04 limit headsup game for the 2 straight flushes.

You play a lot more hands online, like 40-50 an hour. SO odds are there that some crazy stuff is going to come up.

I have had unbelievable nights where i hit AAx3, KKx2 , QQx2 and several JJ

and i have had several droughts of 4-500 hands where I dont see them once

once you play 20K hands I think you can see that it is pretty random

i play on paradise and they probly deal several million hands a day so this kind of thing is bound to happen and even larger sites like party even more

also remember there are 10 people at each table so there is actually it is 10 times as many individual pairs of hole cards

i'll bet after you have played a large enough sample than you will see that it is not rigged at all

you also have to remember if there was ever any solid proof that there was any "fixing" the site would lose ALL of their customers and that is a very risky thing to do when having a fair system already nets them huge sums of money

why do you think they have micro-limit and free games it is to entice people to play more

more customers = more money for them
higher limits = more money for them (to some extent)

i know on paradise the rake limit is $3

so a person playing 10/20 is usually not paying any more rake than a 40/80 table as well

there is no incentive to up the rake because either way it is usually going to be capped
