Attorney For Ferguson Market: NO ONE From His Store Called 911 To Report Cigar Theft

St. Louis local news is reporting that the Attorney for the Ferguson store, Jake Kanzler said the the Ferguson store owner, nor any store employee called the police to report any shoplifting of cigars, but, rather, a customer called the police.

REPORTER: The owner of the store dispute the claim that they or an employee called 911, saying a customer inside the store made the call. They also say St. Louis County issues the warrants for the hard drive of surveillance video Friday.

..the Ferguson Market attorney said police did not see the video until after the unarmed teenager, Michael Brown, was shot dead in the street.

REPORTER: "I asked the attorney for the owner of the store how the Ferguson police ended up with the video the Police Chief released this morning, the attorney said, 'during the course of Ferguson's investigation, the police department from Ferguson, came to the store and asked for to review the tape."

St. Louis news goes on to report:

In a separate news video (embedded below) the Ferguson Market attorney also says any alleged theft of cigars had nothing to do with Michael Brown being shot to death by Ferguson police:

KANZLER: "Whatever the police are looking for on the surveillance tape, has nothing to do with what went on in the street."

Well, well, well ... now the fact that no employee from the store, nor the store owner called 911 to report a 'theft' of cheap cigars, might explain why the DoJ did not want Ferguson Police Chief Johnson to release the tape.

Add to that, the fact that even Ferguson Market attorney acknowledges the obvious, "Whatever the police are looking for on the surveillance tape, has nothing to do with what went on in the street."

Take away: the alleged theft of the cheap cigars was so insignificant to the Ferguson Market that they did not even bother to call 911 about it -- yet -- the Ferguson Police Chief appears to want us to pretend that the alleged shoplifting of the cheap cigars somehow justifies Officer Darren Wilson killing the unarmed teenager who they claim was the alleged suspect.

So they didn't even know about the petty cigar theft till after Michael's browns death, and didn't even know about the tape either, until after his death. Once they got ahold of the tape Gov. Nixon and the DoJ told them not to release it to the public as it was not relevant and they did not want to reignite things after things finally got calmed down, and what did this Police Chief do?? He released it anyway.. this man needs to be fired.

It is clear to me that they are covering up for the officer who killed him. In addition, they didn't release all the bullet casing recovered at the scene, nor gave the pertinent investigation information to Capt. Jackson (who they didn't tell they had the tape, they kept that from him) who is an obvious pawn at this point. Sure put a black face out there apologizing for what the Police Chief keeps doing, and never hold the Police Chief accountable.

They are saying also that there is a bullet hole in the right palm of Browns hand also. The witnesses say he ran and was shot at while his back is turned, then turns around and holds his hands up. although the corpse may not have bullets in the back, this doesn't mean he wasn't shot at while his back was turned running away.

Of course its relevant.

The fact that Brown was robbing stores mere minutes before his police confrontation shows that he was not some little innocent boy.

It also establishes that Brown might have reasons for acting badly when confronted by the police.

I am sure that is the lie/angle that this police officer and his crony fellow cops in Ferguson are going to go with. They say it was more shots most likely and that the Ferguson Police are holding back that info..in addition the two ME reports said that the shot in the head that went through the chin at a downward angle was not the fatal shot, the shot at the crown of the head was the fatal shot. Why so many bullets?? In addition, there is a bullet hole in his palm which is consistent with someone holding their hands up. Why continue shooting?

I wonder what made the OP so hateful and distrustful of the police to the point of assuming they routinely murder black suspects and recommending blacks resist arrest as a matter of course. We haven't seen a report by Wilson. I would guess that he wrote one, or dictated one.

The accused is considered innocent until proven guilty by a preponderance of the evidence.

I follow that principle most of the time.

I am always leaning on the side of the accused.
