Bank employees were playing hide and seek!

Hide-and-seek playing staff at a Natwest bank branch have sparked an armed robbery response.

A concerned member of the public called the police when they noticed staff hiding under desks.

On arrival, armed police officers were shocked when staff explained that they were taking part in a team-building exercise.

‘Contacting us was the right call’
Chief-Inspector Dave Keen revealed details of the incident to the public via Twitter.

He said: “Thanks to the member of public who called in a suspected robbery at a bank in #Birmingham today, saw staff inside hiding under desks.


“@ResponseWMP @firearmsWMP quickly attended and confirmed it was a hide + seek team building exercise.

“Contacting us was the right call.”

Maybe they should close the blinds the next time they have a team-building exercise that involves them hiding under their desks, just a thought.

In the world where you don't walk close enough and stare into the windows see long enough to distinguish facial expressions because you might be putting your life at risk by doing so.

You are saying that in whatever unknown glance this person made "from a safe distance" that they WERE able to tell they were being robbed, but NOT be able to tell that the person was likely smiling, or could have been looking for a dropped pen, or whatever else it COULD have been?

I'm saying the person could have seen enough evidence to warrant further investigation into whether a robbery was taking place and to also make the determination that it would be prudent to allow the police to conduct the further investigation.

Maybe they couldn't see their face? You see bank employees hiding under desks, thinking it is a robbery in progress and as soon as that enters your brain you don't exactly hang around looking through the windows.
