On Fiscal Issues, you rank as a Moderate Liberal (31).

I've seen the first test before, I get slightly different results every time I do it.

This time the results were: -2.0, -2.0

Second test: Non-fiscal Moderate Liberal (25), Fiscal Centrist (55)

No surprise to me.

On Fiscal Issues, you rank as a Strong Conservative (91)

Seems pretty similar to what I view myself as but I judge myself on a wider range of issues and stances than these short little quizes do.

The first one is fundamentally flawed, because basically there is no middle ground on some extremly polarizing positions. There are also questions that either you answer as a liberal or answer as a hitler. Many questions are "leading" or contain assumptions...examples:

Our race has many superior qualities, compared to other races.
Abortion, when the woman's life is not threatened, should always be illegal.
People with serious inheritable disabilities should not be allowed to reproduce.
An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth.
Our civil liberties are being excessively curbed in the name of counter-terrorism.
Mothers may have careers, but their first duty is to be homemakers.
The businessman and the manufacturer are more important than the writer and the artist.

etc. etc.

At least the second test let you prioritize your beliefs also.

I wonder why the Right Wingers don't have theirs posted... maybe they don't like the idea of themselves being aligned with People like Adolf Hitler...........

What right wingers would those be? I've pretty much seen most of the "right wingers" post...CAD, UQ, LMK, myself, officerdown, etc.

Perhaps the farther out you go the left, the more right-wing we seem to you??

I've been characterized as holding "right wing" and "neo-con" positions on this board. My scores are listed above. In fact, most of us with the "neo-con" distinction have indicated our scores in this thread for all to witness.

how many times must that awful political compass quiz be posted?

the thing i hate about most of these quizes is that they rarely capture specifics or that the closest option grossly conflicts in some way with what i think

anyway, since i'm boycotting political compass, i've only got these results

On Non-Fiscal Issues, you rank as a Moderate Liberal (39).
On Fiscal Issues, you rank as a Centrist (52).

Second Test
On Non-Fiscal Issues, you rank as a Moderate Conservative (75).
On Fiscal Issues, you rank as a Moderate Conservative (71).

I don't think it's really all that accurate because there were some issues that I didn't agree 100% with, but I chose the answer that best fit, which went a bit far right.

I've done the political compass test before and I would agree with alchemize on it's usefulness, or lack thereof. As for the second test:

On Non-Fiscal Issues, you rank as a Moderate Conservative (65).
On Fiscal Issues, you rank as a Strong Conservative (95).

Do I have the highest Fiscal Conservative score so far!?

That's usually the way things get approached here Notice - I score quite heavily as a Fiscal Conservative but moderate on alot of social issues. However I don't think they allowed for the few social issues I care about to weigh very heavily or maybe the way it was scored it balanced the social issue stances I have. Some would even say my social issues are contradictory on the surface...but I assure you they are not and the issues I feel strongly about do happen to fall on both sides of the traditional(recent anyway) ideological lines.

Oh well - can anyone honestly beat my 91 fiscal conservative score?(voting honestly) Or am I the "frekn' wako" that LordMagnusKain says I am?(don't answer that)

This thread really shows how much poeple get caugh up in the game (and make no mistake, politics is a game). You have poeple which more or less agree on issues, but who play "sworn enemies" here on the board, and probably IRL too.

But I suppose that's what PR and blind partisanship do to you. Once you start believing in PR, you become nothing but a mindless drone - like the person (I forget who) who said that if Kerry were elected, the US would become unsafe and woudl become a target for terrorists
...And yes, the same goes the other way too.

Ah, yes. Always knew I was somewere in the middle when it came to Fiscal Issues. Can't say I'm that much surpriced about the result of the Non-Fiscal Issue part of the test either. Always knew I was a moderate leaning towards liberal.

On Non-Fiscal Issues, you rank as a Moderate Liberal (25).
On Fiscal Issues, you rank as a Centrist (43)
