I'm surprised at your Economic score. I thought you'd be much more to the Right.

Well yes, but government regulation is sometimes required to keep the greedy corporations in check

What do you mean by "greedy corporations?" The corporation is the sum of its owners - its shareholders. Millions of Americans are owners of "greedy corporations" either by the direct ownership of its shares or indirect ownership via mutual funds. If you are talking about privately held corporations, then I could entertain the idea. But publicly held corporations are owned by us. I don't see anything wrong with our collective ownership wanting to maximize our profits.

Ahhh!! You're even more "liberal" than raildogg. I thought you'd be even more to the Right than him, not to the left.

Me:

On Non-Fiscal Issues, you rank as a Centrist (57).
On Fiscal Issues, you rank as a Strong Conservative (90).

There might be more Enron's ahead, sadly. Lots of poorly run companies in the USA, greedy CEO's aka Ken Lay and Bernie Ebbers should be behind bars already. Although Ebbers trial is ongoing

besides there are other extremists

Those two statements are in contradiction. I scored very similar to Bush, who won over 50% of the popular vote. How can that be extremist? Maybe compared to the people here on ATOT, but certainly not across the US.
You are extreme...as you support authoitative gov't, gov't spending, tax cuts, war.

All combined are a mix for disaster in politics and few believe in all of them...cuz that's where bush sits.

a small percentage think the way you do...you are just closer than what the other guy was offering.

Tax Cuts is a libertarian concept, not authoritarian. Raising taxes (confiscation of citizen's wealth) is authoritarian. And, again, over 50% of the country voted for Bush and my score ranked right with his. How is that "extreme" if the majority of people are centered around there? I think the whole chart could be re-scaled to the most densly populated point and call that the "center" since that is where the majority of people lie.

I am pretty liberal as a matter of fact, but I do know the difference between what will work and what won't. I come down on the side of reality almost everytime. A for instance, I have always avoided making money on the market. I know that is stupid, but I know what the market does to our gains for the producers. I have no problem with your commercial way of doing things because I know that it is the way that works. Some things I know would be better for humanity in general if they were a certain way, but I also know that they won't work that way because of the very same humanity that they would serve. kind of complicated, but I understand myself pretty well. I won't waste sweat on what won't work and have disdain for those who do. Many of our liberal collegues waste a lot of sweat on stuff that is pretty ideal and simply won't work and won't serve humanity either. I guess I am a natural liberal and an educated conservative. Or maybe I'm a natural conservative and educated in more liberal ways. I do have some stock in SIRI and a couple of more though. Where the profit that the market demands doesn't come out of the pockets of the producers, I'm as eager to make the money as anyone. I was raised as a hunter and wouldn't kill an animal today unless it threatened me.

For example, the blacks are generally good atheletes (basketball, football, track & field, etc.) including the black women. Arabs could argue that they were the creators of modern civilization since recorded history started in ancient Mesopotamia (Iraq). Etc.
It's not due to race but circumstances and culture

If blacks are good athletes, why do they generally not play cricket, hockey, golf, etc.
Greeks, Romans, Brits can all claim modern civilization...

You have little credible reasoning in your assertions.

because in America, we dont play cricket. And hockey is dominated by european players. Tiger woods is black, no?

and yes, western civilization is modern
exactly my point...he said that blacks are known athletes...when in fact it is the circumstances and culture that determine the sports and athleticism. A hockey player is just as athletic as a basketball player.

tiger woods yes...but "generally" it is a white dominated sport...it was tiger's father's drive at a young age that helped him reach where he is today (circumstances and culture).

Look at skiiing...are they less athletic than football players?
athletes around the world are good cuz they train...not cuz of race.

right, very early basketball was dominated by Jews, believe it or not. Talking about professional level

Then many blacks started playing and thus as young black kids see so many great black players in the NBA they start to play the sport and become good at it. With hockey its the same way, except you substitute black players with white players

oh and golf is a old white man sport

On that other test,

On Non-Fiscal Issues, you rank as a Moderate Conservative (62).
On Fiscal Issues, you rank as a Strong Conservative (82).

I am not surprised.

Which puts me in the lower left quadrant...pretty much dead-on with Ghandi and the Dalai Lama. Which makes sense.

Same thing I said last time, it's fundamentally flawed!

explain?

Here's what I said last time:

The first one is fundamentally flawed, because basically there is no middle ground on some extremly polarizing positions. There are also questions that either you answer as a liberal or answer as a hitler. Many questions are "leading" or contain assumptions...examples:

Our race has many superior qualities, compared to other races.
Abortion, when the woman's life is not threatened, should always be illegal.
People with serious inheritable disabilities should not be allowed to reproduce.
An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth.
Our civil liberties are being excessively curbed in the name of counter-terrorism.
Mothers may have careers, but their first duty is to be homemakers.
The businessman and the manufacturer are more important than the writer and the artist.

etc. etc.

The test is using a forced response method, which means you have to choose the most correct answer for you, even if that answer isn't entirely representative of what you think or believe.

Unless you know how the test was constructed and what it is actually measuring, you can't make a case that the test is flawed.

What is the confusion? Alchemize is a) right wing economically, and b) authoritarian socially.

eastern europeans are doing quite well in basketball these days and soccer is far from dominated by african americans. Those games mentioned (cricket , hockey, golf) were either traditionally for white people only or in the case of hokey generally only able to be played easily somewhere where it is cold (and lets face it more white people live in places where it is naturally cold).
