Ah, yes. There's nothing like partisan group think.

I hate when Republicans play the "you are partisan, I win game."

Everyone is congress these days seems to be partisan but Republicans now are redical about being partisan. It is disgusting and you turn a blind eye to it. How hypocritical.

What stance am I? This damn web page will not load for me. I answered all the question and it won't calculate.

I believe Amused is a libertarian. You can't really say that libertarian congressmen are partisan...mostly because there are none.

If Amused is libertarian, then I was wrong and his argument holds some water but I believe that just about zero Republicans can say that without being really hypocritical.

Most partisan hacks just complain about the other side and ignore the fact that their party is doing the exact same thing. What I love is when a party refers to an instance where the other side commited the same wrong they theirs is currently committing, like it somehow makes it right. For instance, I've seen many a Republican defend something by referring to an instance where Clinton did it. It goes both ways though, I was just giving an example. I love laughing at people when they do that.

Me too. That is a big defensive tactic. Like Michael Moore says something and then someone says they don't like him and besides he is fat. And everything is Clinton's fault. That makes me laugh whenever I hear people blaming Clinton for current events. I sit back and laugh at the whole thing. But politics is really going downhill. More and more people now are just political hacks and few people do any thinking anymore. It is a sad situation.

Maybe it's getting worse because the 24 hr. news channels have tried to make news as entertaining as possible so they get annoying talking heads to come on and rile everyone up. Instead of just reporting the news, they try to be controversial to get better ratings. So people keep repeating the sound bytes they hear on entertainment news instead of thinking for themselves and arguing intelligently. No longer do people need to know detailed information on the topic they are talking about, they just need to repeat what they hear from their favorite talking head. Surely those talking heads know what they are talking about. I mean Ann Coulter MUST know what she's talking about when she calls liberals traitors and Michael Moore MUST know something b/c of all his nicely edited documentaries. We see them on TV so they must be experts. God forbid that people actually think for themselves instead of just being a bunch of yes men and trying to be on the winning team.

Well, I don't even agree with the official Libertarian platform 100%, but my politics most closely follow them. I'm socially liberal and fiscally conservative. A free market and free mind are a must, in my opinion.

In fact, I don't know why a free market is referred to as "fiscally conservative." In reality, a free market is liberal. It's just too damn bad "liberalism" in the US has been hijacked by authoritarian socialists.

Anywho, I am many things, but hypocritical I am not. You can point to just about any politician on either side of the aisle and I'll find some things I agree with them on.

Some of these statements/premises/questions are either ambiguous, or in this case, just plain ludicrous:

"The life of one American is worth the lives of several foreigners."

or very poorly written:

It's wrong when environmental regulation puts people out of work, like when limits on logging make it harder for loggers to log logs.

I would have a very hard time seeing this test as anything but pure entertainment.
