Yeah I have a OC-48 hooked right to the back of my personal PC, which has PC Anywhere, VNC, Back Orifice, QAZ, and everything available without needing a password. Want the Ip address too?

I am using an old P120 with 24MB RAM acting as an Internet Gateway and print server with a modem and network card on my home network. Its running Win98SE and Norton Personal Firewall. Everything works great.
I don't see why there is so much fuss over firewalls/etc. Those are mainly setup for idiots who can't setup their pcs safely. I run NT, with a few servers up like VNC, FTPD, etc and it's secure enough for me. Most people just worry about the trojans and more so the idiots who share their whole HD somehow not having a clue. For most people it's not necessary and I see them as a pain in the butt. I'm usally on cable near college 24/7 and my pc is up for weeks if not months at a clip and sure people try to log onto my shares (good luck on NT and the rights I setup...requires a username too) and my ftp and vnc which wouldn't be behind the firewall anyhow...
I was asking because I host files on a mIRC channel and it is difficult for people to get files through a firewall as opposed to a straight through connection. To wise ass Russ and Shux, some poeople do have always-on and no firewall.
