I think about 3k here ... if that. 2 of them just sit out there in the driveway most days... doesn't exactly give me a reason to EVER buy a badly-wanted latest/greatest new car, does it ?

heh I just figured this out the other day for my taxes, I only drove 3400 miles last year.

15 - 16k per year on my daily driver and probably another 10k on my other car.

How do you manage to drive 12k+ miles in LA ?! I thought people there were eternally stuck in traffic.

hmm..
i have to do some conversion here... we have 36000 kilometres on the car that is 3 years old and we took a trip that put 3500 on it in one instance..
sooo....
36000 divided by 1.6? = 22500 miles for 3 years.. 7500 miles a year ?

I think thats right? my math sucks .. but then that was a fluke trip of 2000 miles.... which wont happen often.. so should that really be counted into the total?

20500 for 3 years makes it roughly 6800 miles... ?
