Poll: AOE2...The best RTS?

I prefer SC/BW myself, because you can get a good game over in 45 minutes, whereas most AOE2 games take a good 2 hours. So if you have to eat dinner after an hour and a half you're screwed. I also like starcraft better because the races are entirely different, since in AOE2 they just have slight adjustments and an extra unit or two.

As far as Civilization counting as an RTS, you might want to consider the first two initials: Real-time.

I have spent countless hours playing various the incarnations of AOE. I haven't played in a few weeks though. Q3A has been occuping my time in that capacity. I might fire up some AOE2-Conquerors later this week.

I can't seem to get past the second round in the second stage for Joan of Arc. Anyone else have this problem or do I just suck?

Starcraft is the best game of all time IMO.

its kinda unfair to compare Starcraft to AOEII, both are great games, where AOEII excel in unqiue units and enjoyable gameplay while SC is by the far the most balanced game ever.

i must say AOEII is funner though...

also, Ground Control is one great game too with a new concept.

Aoe2 is definately the best currently but I still have a soft spot for WarCraftII.
That game kicked butt!

I have played most of these, but yes AOEII seemed the best to me as well. Starcraft was fun initially, but got old quickly. Now I don't even have time to play any games. If only I was still in high school...

AOE2 is pretty fun so far... any one know the most unit you can have at one time?
