I think you're thinking too much about this, it's just your first year. Yeah, opens you up to a lot of opportunities, but you shouldn't be counting your eggs till they hatch.

I've never heard of anyone getting a limo for graduation... Do you mean to take you to graduation? Or to drive you around while you get drunk off your ass after graduation? The former makes no sense to me, the latter makes a lot more sense.

If by $200, you mean a limo is taking you and friends to the ceremony, then afterwards, the limo is transporting you from party to party with your friends while you all celebrate your graduation (complete with a stocked bar in the limo), then it's a bargain!

If by $200, you mean a limo picks you up at your apt/house/dwelling, transports you to graduation and drops you off, then... are you that foolish that you have to ask that question??

I assume you're somewhere in between... use your best judgement.

I do agree that first year can be pretty dang important. Sets you up for fall interviews, which sets you up for your job the summer after your second year, which sets you up for your job after graduation. That's one path that a lot of people take, and if you do well first year it makes getting a big firm job after graduation quite a bit easier and removes some stress.

I'd get a limo if you're going from bar to bar afterwards, getting drunker and drunker, so you can't drive yourself and don't want to get a new cab each time. Otherwise, if you're just going to a party, save your money.

A limo following your first year of law school is possibly the stupidest thing I've ever seen posted anywhere.

And I know what it's like to get through your first year, I'm going into my 3rd now. Save your money.
