Most people don't have their "threads/page" setting set to default. If the thread is disappearing on you, increase your threads/page.

My threads/page is 100... I just want it near the top of the first page... It's most likely to be clicked on there.

Not really. If someone is interested in the thread, they will click it whether it's at the top or bottom. We frown on frequent bumps here, especially if it's still on the first page. No need for that.

Christian. There's no real reason to jump in and defend our religion in the flamefests. That type of defense does nothing towards convincing people, shows them nothing of Christ's love, and nowhere are we really commissioned to defend ourselves. In fact, there's more of a warning to expect it and take it.

And, look again. Christianity is not 'winning'. Athiest/Agnostic/Other combined is larger, and thats not even counting the other religions you listed.

For the record, I'm one of those agnostic lost my way types. A while back, god decided my life is going to suck. 10 years later, I decided God can do some sucking of His own. Maybe someday we'll meet in the middle, but for now I'm perfectly content saying God hasn't shown himself to me in the way that is written in the bible, and for all intensive purposes does not exist in my opinion until further notice.
