I'm not racist. I don't judge people based on skin color or stereotypes...etc.
I do find it disturbing that many people claim not to be racist but still refer to a certain race as "them" people...or even use stereotypes ot judge people.
I see a lot of posts on here regarding the poor and letting them suffer. It is quite obvious that the majority of the poor are minorities and more than likely the person who will let them suffer is not.
Yet, they will still say "I'm not racist"?
The majority of people living in poverty in the US are white.
While a larger % of blacks per capita, are living in poverty, a larger TOTAL number of whites live in poverty.
And I have NEVER said "let them suffer." I have advocated letting charity help them rather than allowing them to be entitled to taxpayer funds... just as it was prior to LBJ's failed "Great Society" program in the mid 60s.
Of course the majority of the people are white...duhhh, but you can not use that as an example...it is not fair it's like saying the majority of people living in Africa are black (see what I mean.).
No, I do not see what you mean. His implication was that people who are against welfare are racist, because "a majority of poor people are minorities." That is simply untrue. The overwhelming majority of people living in poverty in the US are white.
