How could Led Zeppelin be left of this list? And I'm not even a big fan.

Edit: nevermind, I'm an idiot and didn't see it listed until just now.

That poll must have taken forever.

Of those, I picked Abbey Road. Sgt. Pepper would have been my choice had it been included.

LOL...reminds me of Homer Simpson.

I looked at the list again and I still think it doesn't cover a wide range of musical tastes. Oh well.

I had no choice but vote for Eminem, cuz that's the only album that I found myself singing along with.

I voted: Are You Experienced? - Jimi Hendrix Experience, because that's what I put in the other thread below.

Great album. It's in my car CD player right now.

Wish You Were Here - Pink Floyd really should've been on there, but I voted for DSOTM, which was the album that really got me interested in classic rock.

Why does Nirvana always score so high on these "All-Time Greatest Albums"? Is it just me, or are the Beatles, Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd, Led Zepellin just are heads and shoulders above Nirvana?

I think that it's because they sort of started the "grungy" genre of music. It could just be that for a lot of people my age (20), that was the first big album that we listened to. I had it, and it is a good album in it's own right, but I can't say that it's an all-time greatest album.

I wonder that myself.

I guess I can stomach Pink Floyd being on top, but the fact that Eminem and Nirvana are getting more votes than the Beatles is just a crime against humanity people.

What I don't understand is why AVC/DC's album Back In Black is not in the poll, it is the sixth all time best seller ever.

Sony Records

In the U.S., AC/DC has earned the 5th highest ranking in terms of album certifications, according to the RIAA. The band's 1980 release, Back In Black, has sold an impressive 41 million copies worldwide, making it the 6th highest-selling album in history. Classic AC/DC releases include High Voltage (1976); Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap (1976); Let There Be Rock (1977); Powerage (1978); If You Want Blood, You've Got It (Live) (1978); Highway to Hell (1979); Back In Black (1980); For Those About to Rock (We Salute You) (1981); Flick of the Switch (1983); '74 Jailbreak (1984); Fly on the Wall (1985); Who Made Who (soundtrack from the film Maximum Overdrive) (1986); Blow Up Your Video (1988); The Razor's Edge (1990); AC/DC Live {single and two-disc versions} (1992); Bonfire (boxset) (1997).

just because something sells a lot doesn't make it good. I'll bet Michael Jackson's stuff is way up there in sales, but its not seriously good work.

Not to flame, but AC/DC is decent rock&roll, nothing revolutionary. Its good party music, but lacks imagination or innovation. Its the chevy caprice of the music industry - reliable, predictable and ubiquitous.

It's because it started a whole new revolution in the music.
