Cute, that problem was confined to the '84 model year. That problem was recalled and fixed. It did hurt the car's reputation though. I was fortunate enough to see a Quad 4 Fiero at the GM proving grounds in 1986. Unfortuantely, the Fiero was cancelled in 1988, so that program never made it to production. It was code named the "Quadzilla". Oh well.
