Poll: Cable Descramblers!!

I just recieved my descrambler. This thing works awesome! I got it from www.cablesurreal.pair.com.
This thing gets every channel...EVERY channel even pay-per view. It was $200.00 but well worth it.
For all cable channels(77)in my area it was $864.00 a year. Now I can drop it down to basic-basic cable and pay only $155.00 a year and still have all the channels including pay-per view! That's $700.00 to spend on other junk. I reccomend this to anyone who's
fed up with cable prices. It also has audio/vidio filters that work perfect! All in all it's a must have!

As soon as your company converts to digital cable (like mine has), that descrambler'll do you no good.

Doesn't this rely on your cable company using cable boxes? Every place I've lived in the past 5-6 years didn't use cable boxes. I just plugged cable from wall into tv. Can you still use them when you don't require a cable box in the 1st place?

This is as illegal as it can be. Hope you do not get caught and be fined thousands. Besides, if the place where you bought the box is busted, they will get your address. So don't think you are safe. If I were you, I would either return it or throw it in the trash.

Don't most cable companies have addressable boxes that the company is in two-way comunication with and can tell if you've got a non-company box hooked up? When I want a pay-per-view I push a button and they send a signal to my box to descramble it and I will see the charge on the next bill. Figured that descrambler boxes were a thing of the past.

First off, having a cable box is NOT ILLEGAL.....if you use it without telling the cable company, that is illegal. Chances are if you have a bulletproof, unaddressable box, you will not get caught unless someone sees it and reports you to the cable company, or maybe to the police. As long as you remove the box from site if a cable technician comes to your house, you should have no problems. Also digital cable will not completely take over for a few years, by that time digital descramblers will probably be out. One thing about technology is that everything, given enough time, will be able to be cracked (computer software, cable boxes, etc). For those of you people that are angry because there is only one cable company in your area and their prices are very high, a descrambler is a very nice change. And chances are you will not be caught.

there are numerous sites that sell the same box for $150 or less. BTW it is not illegal to have your own equiptment. You just have to advize your local cable company so that they can charge you for all the programming you recieve.

Name one cable company that will let you use your own cable descrambler, even if you tell them, and I will tell you those black boxes are legal. Owning a cable box is legal, just like a cable ready TV, owing a cable descrambler is not.

Is a separate cable convertor box required to be able to use a descrambler? Or will hooking it up between the cable line and a cable-ready TV be enough?

I have mine going from wall..box...vcr. it's supposed to replace any box... universal.

Foreman, let us have your name and addess, so we can check with your cable company, just to be sure it's OK and legal to own a descrambler that will let you have ALL pay-per-view for free. That will make this a definite hot deal.
Besides, if it's really legal, won't you expect to be able to get it from your local BB, CC, etc?
