I have a pretty crappy vertical. I can curl my fingers around the rim on a standing vertical. I can get nearly my whole hand above the rim.

I am not that tall though...5'11. 6'0 with shoes. On a good day, and after pooping I can get higher on some days than others

Yeap, I can, all 6'2" of me, but then again, I was a high jumper in high school, I never played basketball, but my hands are huge... I'm in a league on wednesday nights with a few friends of mine. I can dunk one handed, and depending on the surface and how much give it has, I can dunk two handed, both with mens sized basketballs.

Yes, I can. About two years ago I was able to do two handed reverse dunks, and other cool sh;t. Now I can just do regular dunks, some kewl sh;t with one hand, but nothing as good as before. I haven't really worked out or played as much recently so I am losing my vert. I played in high school, only dunked once in a game and not very good. I can palm a ball which helps a lot with one handed dunks.

I'm six feet tall, maybe six one. It was always a goal of mine when I was like in elementary school and junior high to be able to dunk, and I achieved it. Badass. Some of those vertical jump programs actually work. White men can jump.

Yeah, I've seen Wang dunk. I've also seen that other huge Chinese dude that the commie bastards are keeping locked in China and out of the NBA dunk. I can't think of his name right now and don't want to search.

Man alot of you guys are wrapped up in self pitty about being white of chinese. Here's what you do turn off your computer and start dunking a 8ft. then move to a 9er. After a year of practice anyone can dunk WTF/? I could dunk in 9th grade and I'm 30 and can still dunk with the kids at the parks. Turn your puter OFF and get some exercise.

You think it comes without practice your dead wrong.

If that don't work My BullDog Will make your ass dunk.

Yea i can. here's a clip from freshman year that was on sportscenter. anyone else here been on sportscenter? it's pretty small/hard to see, and the framerate is a little choppy, and i encoded it quickly, but it's me. i'll only leave it up for a small time.

While I agree that your vertical improves with practice, in most cases there are people who are just inherently better at jumping than others.

At 5-8 200+ pounds, BB was never my "good sport"

Now football or soccer where having really strong legs, big shoulders and a low center of gravity was a good thing, I did well. When I went to high school 20+ years ago, playing the line in football wasnt anything like today, there werent a lot of guys playing that were much over 6' or 6-1. Today, even high school lineman are huge.

Dunk? Would this be with or without the use of a ladder? Dunk...he wants to know if I can dunk...heheheh....oh, heck no. I can't think of anything witty to say...first post of the day and the week and I've only had two (2) sips of coffee. I'll be back.
