Who would you pick for Rookie of the year?


Comparison of Melo and Lebron.


Cavs are 30-36 and have a shot of the 6th spot in the playoffs in the east. The Nuggets are 36-32 and have a shot of the 8th spot in the west.

Lebron all the way, the stats are bascialyl equal for assists per game, and that is a big differance in a game, lebron has more than double what carmelo has. So it goes to Lebron

WHAT??? you are going to base the ROY on assists per game. HELLO, James played the point most of the year, Melo plays the 3. Of course, James is going to have more assists per game.

Additionally, keep in mind James plays in the East, a much weaker conference. Melo is playing in, unquestionably, the toughest division in the NBA and still has his team in playoff contention AND A BETTER RECORD. And after the trade, James has a stronger supporting cast around him.

Melo should be the clear winner for ROY, but you know ESPN is doing it's damndest to make sure it doesn't happen. They have too much vested in the James hype.

that's funny, i remember zydrunus, boozer, and mcinnis all being on the cavs but they all suck a big fatty anyway, right?

i mean, zydrunus has played like an all-star the past two years, boozer is having a breakout season, as is mcinnis, who is playing quite well at the point.

now, the nuggets also have a nice supporting cast in camby (who is finally playing a near full season) and miller (plays great, just not with the clippers).

3-1-1 in favor of Cavs. Bron, by far has a better supporting cast. And the way the Nugs bench has played lately, I would say the Cavs have that edge to.

Lebron is the hometown hero, of course the attendance is gonna go nuts.

Mello definitely deserves it now after helping the Nuggets clinch there first playoff birth in 9 years. (no matter if they lose or win tonite to the spurs)

'Melo *should* win, LeBron *will* win.

Last year both Denver and Cleveland finished 17-65. This year Denver has improved to 43-38 and the Cavs have improved to 34-47. Denver has made the playoffs, Cleveland has not. Melo deserves it, taking a team that bad and getting them into the playoffs in the west is a huge accomplishment. He's improved his team more while playing in a much tougher conference and night-after-night faces superior competition to 'Bron has to deal with. 'Bron's going to win because the voters are sheep and will blindly follow the hype rather than using their brains.

I'm really hoping Melo gets his props from the media. The Cavs got rid of all the bad eggs getting rid of Davis, etc to make it LeBron's team. Melo has had to put up with Andre Miller who thinks he's a superstar and is too stubborn to recognize that it's Melo's team.
