So I guess it takes one to know one?
I think we found Rip's pissed-off little brother.

The saying "don't argue with idiots, they will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience" comes to mind.

And americans wonder why the rest of the world would want to see you dead (in the sence that you'd not be bothering us, not that we want to kill you).

Heh, check your military budget. It passed the level of "just stupid" many many years ago. It would require most of the worlds forces to even have a chance, and you'd just use nukes, biological weapons and chemical weapons if you were in trouble. Ofcourse, we do have china! We could do like the russian did, just send wave after wave and don't bother with weapons, there'd be enough on the ground.

Nah, i'm a pacifist. I wouldn't support an invasion of america, even if we did leave after.

I think that all evolutionists can prove is a variation between sub species like types of hoses, breeds of dogs types of butterflys.

Then they might be able to prove that a species at some point became extinct. But that does not mean it evolved. Lots of species go extinct all the time. It does not mean they evolved into something else.

It is more likely that there were cataclysmic events like a big asteroid that killed off lots of life or some species just ate the other species into extinction. There are areas near the mediteranian where there were civilizations that are now under water. Look at Pompei and also Krakatoa (Most powerful Volcano Cataclysm). In Colorado at the site of the Garden of the Gods you can tell that it looks like huge rock structures were suddenly thrust up all at once. There is also an Indian Legend of a huge Lake near the Titons that disappeared after a large earth quake almost overnight. There are also sites where a volcano came up in the ocean and withing say the last 50 years an Island has been formed.

Well, would you EVER put money before people or not?

In what context?

"And how to do you save money and remain fiscally sane without sacrificing your ability to some extent to help another person? "
No, please do go on.
Explain this one to me, I'm ignorant remember?

Elaborate on how you expect me to help another person.

LOL

another f'n sophist. I should have known. And from Seattle, one of Americas havens for hippy scum. Coincidence? I think not.
You cant just answer the questions plainly and directly.
its the only way a liberal can "win" an argument.

I dont know why you need all this additional context information, you are so intelligent.. just run circles around me Tex.

Let me provide the CORRECT answer for you son. Fiscally conservative, socially conservative. Take the system and liberal media head on like a man.
I believe in helping people (usually a socially liberal stance), its called help others HELP THEMSELVES

In good, conservative societies neighbors help neighbors as its the Christian way of life. You, and other liberals attempt to hold down Christianity.. in a vain attempt to cover its truth. Why take down Christian symbols durnig Christmas?
BECAUSE YOU ARE SCARED YOU CAN'T STOP US FROM TAKING OVER, and you cant.
We own you and we own this nation.
So just backup, and realize your place in the world which is very small.

Government has no place in helping people other than defending us from attack.
sorry, this comes from my natural conservative leaning to believe IN THE CONSTITUTION.
while liberal activist judges trample it and attempt to legislate from the bench

It still ultimately comes down to you and me to defend the nation.
Too bad its only conservatives that are patriotic and willing to do such.

God Bless those troops and our COMMANDER IN CHIEF! holla b*tches

I find it kind of interesting that a few posts earlier you were mentioning how the lord guides you in your decisions, and think about what you say above.

"I hate your kind too." -I don't believe that Christianity in any way supports hate, especially over something as silly as political/religious disagreement.

You say "f'n sophist" "hippy scum" - I find those words crude, rude, and mostly unpleasant. Did your youth group teach you this behavior?

"Too bad its only conservatives that are patriotic" Oh yea, John Kerry was unpatriotic, so are the other Democrats. They hate this country so much they fought, and as the senator Max Cleland (not sure if the spelling is correct) did, lost limbs defending the country.

FDR was a communist SOB that was completely unpatriotic. Let's also not forget the conservatives who were involved in Iran-contra and getting a bit too involved in Latin American affairs.

How can you claim to be a Christian and hold such hatred towards an ENTIRE group of people, in this case, about 35% of the registered voters (Democrats).

I know i'm wasting effort with you, as people who are so unwilling to reason just spill out their inane rhetoric and talking points. Before you accuse Seattle of being one of America's havens for hippy scum, why don't you think WWJD. Would your lord EVER act like this? I hope you go to confession to repent for the sins you committed here.

"Christians" like you give real Christians who belive in the teachings of their God a bad name.

This post is exactly why so many people are so skeptical of evolution. They simply don't understand it. I don't point this out to disparage the author of this particular comment, I point this out in the hope that some who are skeptical will take it upon themselves to read the literature and educate themselves.

Take a university level class in Evolution. You have so many misconceptions that it will not be possible to correct them on a forum. What you have said is akin to saying that electricity is solely generated by flicking on switches.

You don't need to take a university level class in evolution. All you need is some high-school level biology (which I assume most of the readers of this forum have), some time, and the right book. This book is easy to understand, if you are willing to learn the jargon/scientific vocab. (Which since you're not being tested, basically means all you need to do is take some notes to refer back to while you read.)

Avoid books that pit evolutionary biology against creationism. Look for books that focus solely on describing, explaining, and giving evidence for evolutionary theory.

(CBS) Americans do not believe that humans evolved, and the vast majority says that even if they evolved, God guided the process. Just 13 percent say that God was not involved. But most would not substitute the teaching of creationism for the teaching of evolution in public schools.

Support for evolution is more heavily concentrated among those with more education and among those who attend religious services rarely or not at all.

There are also differences between voters who supported Kerry and those who supported Bush: 47 percent of John Kerry?s voters think God created humans as they are now, compared with 67 percent of Bush voters.
More proof that ignorance is bliss.

I weep for this nation.

There is no proof for evolution either. Evolution is simply an excuse atheists make for a world we don't understand. Unfortunately, the laws of entropy are strongly against evolution, so I guess science proves itself wrong.

You have no understanding of science and as such refrain from making scientific claims.

I haven't really browsed Politics and News, but, man, this is one heated debate :Q
It's rather entertaining to watch. It appears that the majority of those participating here are ignorant of the other side of the equation. I'll just sit back and enjoy the reading.

Ignorants of the real truth eh? Yea, you got that right. Then again, what is truth? What is false? We're all living on the edge and it's getting harder all the time...

Here is a nutty review of a book on evolution, called "What Evolution Is" on amazon.com:

I feel sorry for people who believe in evolution., July 26, 2003
Reviewer: A reader
Everyone who believes evolution is going to hell. Evolution has been refuted so much that it is so obvious that whoever believes in evolution is so ignorant. Read "The Lie: Evolution" by Ken Ham and you will see how ignorant and BIASED most "scientists" are.

2 of 43 readers found this dope useful, thank goodness.

you speak of the scientific laws like you have some clue of what you say, and then you promptly demonstrate that you have absoltely no clue what you're talking about.
