[POLL] - Did you like the latest 2 Star Wars Movies?

NOT asking if you thought they were oustanding, awesome, groundbreaking, etc movies. Just did you like them or not....

I'm a star wars freak and while I don't think they first two were as good as the original 3, I still liked them just fine.

I like Star Wars and I didn't hate the latest 2.

I wish they hadn't emphasized Yoda's reverse speaking phrases so much. In the first movies it was just a noticeable characteristic trait, but after that it just became an overdone Lets-See-How-Many-Times-We-Can-Do-It-In-This-Scene idiosyncracy.

Ive seen 4,5,6 about 200 times each respectively, maybe esb more than anh or rotj, but ive been watching them as far back as i could remember...

I went and saw TPM in the theaters and was highly unimpressed, saw it about 3 times in the theaters and never watched it after that because of my disgust.

AOTC was ok, but I was kinda unimpressed again.

it just so happens that I got the two dvd's this weekend. as i watched them I realized that they were actually pretty good, and not to sound cliche they would have been a ton better without jar jar binks or the whole gungan bs in the first one.

AOTC actually is pretty good and the plot is a lot better than I thought. just the inconsistencies that bug me...

on another topic, as I was watching the dvd's my dad came in and was shocked to see christopher lee... (count dooku) and told me that he and peter cushing (grand moff tarkin from ANH) were two british actors who acted together frequently in British Horror flicks.. pretty cool how they added lee into the movie.... another thing is albeit cushing died in '94, christopher lee was 80 years old when he filmed AOTC... ridiculous! i would have thought he was in his late 50's/early 60's!

Go watch old Dracula movies and see the real Lee. He will own your little soul.

Episodes 1 and 2? Ugh. I was alternately cringing and snickering in the theater every time Anankin tried to say romantic things to Amidala. The lines were so wooden and the delivery so bad that it was almost comical. Good god, I was smoother than that when I was 13!

How about "I thought the special effects of the first three were ok, but the story, the acting and the characters sucked hard, and I never could be bothered to sit through all three"?
And the new ones aren't exactly an improvement.

I enjoyed the two new ones. They weren't awesome, but good. Still decent movies, just not up to snuff.

I liked them. They weren't on par with the original 3 movies, but they weren't completely horrible. I consider myself a Star Wars freak, as I used to be hardcore into the novels, and now I'm hardcore into the Star Wars Mini game, and have played just about every Star Wars game released for any platform.

I like Star Wars and the first two blew donkey balls. Horrible script, horrible acting, lame plot, and more retarded fluff like Ewoks but this time in the form of JarJar Binks. Bravo, Lucas, bra-VO!

I liked the originals, and didn't mind the first two. Was a bit disappointed, but still enjoyed them.

After initially seeing "A Phantom Menace", I was amazed at how bad it was. However, it did grow on me. If you guys can find "The Phantom Edit" floating around the net, download it - basically it takes out Jar Jar's annoying voice and replaces it with s unique and cool dialogue which is also completely changed. He actually sounds wise in the things he says, and it makes the movie a lot better. Also changed were the voices of those other aliens that sounded like they were asian. They also took out the whole "Midicholorian" scene.

Overall, I have to recommend this to everyone. If I had saw the Phantom Edit before I saw Lucas' nightmare, I would have been more then please with it.

The second movie was a lot better then the first though, and I actually enjoyed it. Although I was still disappointed, after seeing it 2-3 more times, I can atleast admit that I like it.

I expect great things from the third, and imagine that I won't be as disappointed with it. Can't wait.

With what was at stake, I still can't understand how or why they picked such a stiff to play the young adult Anakin Skywalker.

The whole Ewok-y "Yea, the good guys win" feeling of the first movie was dissapointing and seemed out of place with the tone of the originals. The second's emphasis on the love story was embarassing, although seeing Yoda go off put a smile on my face.

I have seen all the movies and I think the first two were entertaining and held my attention.

I love the originals and liked the first two. Phantom Menace was pretty cheesy at times (as were the originals at times) but it at least moved fairly well. Clones was quite solid IMO.

That si supposedly all answered i nthe 3rd movie. He was supposed to be stiff like that. There's a huge write up in the latest Premiere magazine that talks a lot about that. he knew he was going to get ripped on for his acting but he played it how he was supposed to.
