I will get down to Best Buy and have them demo it for me.
HDR400 monitor is kinda useless. It will leave you wanting more.
HDR600 is a good middleground.
HDR1000 is the best but expensive.
I got this:
https://www.samsung.com/latin_en/mo...-g60sd-27-inch-360hz-oled-qhd-ls27dg602snxza/
It doesn't specify max brightness (or maybe it does and I can't seem to find it in the specs). The typical one is kinda bad but thankfully, things really improve when you turn on Windows HDR mode. I don't find the colors inaccurate or anything in this mode coz well, I'm no digital artist with an eye for these things but it looks kinda more subdued than my LG TV and phone AMOLED display. Still, the smoothness is often perceptible even just while scrolling stuff and even with low quality media, there are scenes where the highlights get boosted despite the content being SDR. I can only imagine that proper HDR content would look much better but a bit too busy to try at the moment.
Now raytracing with HDR, that could be a sight to behold. But don't want to download and load up CP2077 just to see that. I wonder if there is a demo on GoG that offers those two things in a reasonable download size.
