and about the mustang not going 100MPH in the 1/4 mile, i was referring to the 4.6L models of whatever years they are.. I know for a fact they do not do 100mph in the 1/4 mile.. as for the new gens, I do not know. - I don't really care though i was just throwing out what i thought was to be true, I am not going to argue about this because there is no need, it's irrelevant to me, i just thought I would tell you where I was coming from.

I know a girl that has a 94 GT Mustang.. there is NO chance that slow sh|tbag of a car does 100MPH in the 1/4.. it's marginally faster than my dads 2000 Maxima

I'm a little confused as to which one of you likes rally/F1 and which one of you likes...drag racing/NASCAR/American stuff.

I'm a WRC/F1 fan because I believe it takes more skill to handle a car under real conditions (WRC) and have actual turns (both WRC and F1.)

NASCAR and drag racing involves pretty much having a lead foot. NASCAR is driving around in a big loop.

Oh...and I hate American cars BTW just in case you didn't see that above. I was stunned when I saw Colin McRae switch from the most recognized car in WRC, the Subaru Impreza WRX, to a....ugh...Ford Focus.

Imports and Euro cars dominate rally. Audi was banned from WRC because they were so damned good.

I'd just say I like proper racing, no offence LAUST, but where I live there are narrow roads with tight bends. Hardly any roads are straight, why shouls racing be straight?

I admit drag can be fun, I have tried it. Its pretty difficult to get a good launch. The trouble for me is, I LOVE track days (you know, corners? hairpin bends? )

When do you EVER get to show anybody what your car can do? Some little girl driving her daddy's Mustang hands you your ass in a stoplight race, and the only comfort you take is in knowing that you'd trash her in a... rally! Thats fine to have that attitude but I'm telling you now and I can support Fact vs your OPINION that there is much more skill to it then meets the eye, you guys think the light just turns green and you floor it, well come out and register for a $50 event, it'll be gone so fast you'll $h!t your pants. You guys ever hear the phrases E.T. and R/T? Probably not, cause your speaking from a non experienced view which makes you look even more stupid. >>



There's a lot more to drag racing than what meets the eye. While I prefer dragging than watching the drag race, to general spectators rallies may be more interesting to watch than Nascar and drag racing.

IMO, to like watching drag racing you have to love cars. You have to care what they have under the hood and what they're using. Also, going to a drag race is helluva lot more fun than watching one on TV.

I still can't watch Nascar on TV though. Never been to an event either.

It's personal preference, auto-x'ing vs dragging. I still prefer auto-x'ing.
