That's quite a blanket statement if I've ever seen one! You don't like how the Corvette coupe looks? :Q
>>

YES. It's a blanket statement because for me, it's TRUE. I actually hate how Corvettes look. I like Japanese and European cars.

Good lord yes!

drag racing and Nascar and other gay sports of the likes have to be the silliest way to "race" a car i know of.. drag racing is only good to see what kind of times you can run.. to drive your car for 1/4 mile every day as a living or hobby or whatever would really suck.. rally driving on the other hand i could handle every day! nothing is the same!!!!

Lets see how often that car has to go to shop for repairs compared to Civic
>>

hmm, don't even know what makes you think that. 2 years and all I was doing was changing oil and filling up gas. As a matter of fact, I haven't even opened up a hood yet. It drives perfectly and that's exactly what I expect from a car. And if you think Civic is best car on the planet, you really need to grow up my friend.

the 3.8 is a strong engine and i would expect the same thing man, they are good running engines and SHOULD be that reliable.

my Celebrity had the 2.8 MPFI V6 and it ran like a CHAMP... 290,000 kms and not burning oil or anything, and running very smooth.. the car would have still been around today but about 10 months ago got into a mishap with a deer.. R.I.P. Eurosport!

most of dragging is not about skill at all its about who has more power......yes of course there is a small amount of skill envolved

but until i find that video that shows the psycho footwork a rally driver has to go through
you just wouldn't believe some of the stuff they do its insane.....

rallying is more skill than it is car......you could take a better evo VI and have it beat by say a weaker subaru due to skill and not oh look i have crap loads more horsepower......lookey at me i have more money kinda thing

HELL YEAH!

I don't consider a drag race an actual race of skill. It's a test of the car, it's engine and it's weight. Just about anyone can plant their foot on the gas and shift.

Rally is about real skill...

95 Dodge Stratus ES 4dr...

Decent looking, reliable, v6...kinda fast, but since I don't race it's not really a big deal...pretty good sized car for what it is too...I like it better than my friend's 95 Accord which seems a lot more cramped, but that's just me...I'm a big guy

My mom owns a 99 Hyundai Elantra, which I actually kinda like, it's a quick little car with nice gas mileage and a sweet warranty..
My dad owns a 95 Olds Something-or-other.. it's visited the shop quite a few times...then again, my dad never takes any care of it...

Just my $.2

So, let me get this straight. Somebody pulls up next to you at a light and revs their engine. You then shout out the window, "Sorry, but I'm a Rally kind of guy." Man, that must get old!

LOL hell yeah! Take a trip to your closest dragway that's open to the public. You have at least a hundred amateurs drag racing without an incident. I can't remember the last time they opened up a dirt track to the public to let them tear around on it. Wonder why?
