Why make a poll if you're just going to ignore the responses? Interesting, there appears to be more people with Crossfire than I thought Yeah, I know many of those votes are probably not real. It's no secret that lots of people around here enjoy antagonizing Rollo. His incessant trolling and fanboyism has not made him a well-liked person around here.

PS. Can we expand on this poll a bit. How many of you have paid for your SLI cards and how many have gottem them for free from Nvidia for being a shill?

I agree that the assumption of anyone voting Xfire must be a classless liar is wrong. However, I do have to wonder who the 5 people out there are. If none truly exist, then I have to say voting in a poll just the skew results is a bid childish. The OP did specifically ask for those who vote to respond in-thread with what you have. None did. Then again, by count, there are several 7x00 SLI that haven't responded as well.

Rollo is master of starting topics that try to put ATi in a bad light . . . i care about Rollo's intentions and "purpose" - especially his continued unfair attempts to portray ATi as badly as possible

But, for those of you who *do* have a problem with him and want to discredit him at every chance, it just might be more prudent for you to actually WAIT until he does something worth attacking. It might make outsiders see your point easier. Some of us don't read all the threads. If he's trolling in other threads, and you attack him because of that, those that don't know about those other threads are just seeing a bunch of people attack someone for putting up a simple poll. Which makes *them* look like the bad guys.

those people could just as easily be nVidia supporters out to make ati people look stupid . . . but - i agree with you - it is silly to claim something you don't have . . . or it is [slightly] possible they actually wish to remain anonymous.

Yeah but you didn't actually spend your money on your SLI cards, now did you? According to what you said in another thread, your cards are reference cards that you obtained for free from Nvidia. So by your own words, we shouldn't put much merit in the fact that you own SLI, since you didn't actually pay for it. Thanks for clarifying to us why your own opinion doesn't count.

What you posted [above] absolutely true, Rollo . . . what you are seemingly not taking into consideration is that all of us actually DID spend our money on something. What we purchased DID say 'i liked this company's solution" enough to buy it.

What is does not take into consideration is financial and practical constraints . . . i would "like" x1900xt Xfire or g71 SLI . . . but - at THIS MOMENT - i am unwilling to spend the thousands of dollars to completely remake my system.

I remain VERY interested in this topic as i do - eventually - expect to do this upgrade. in the meantime. 'pardon me' if i remain a single GPU owner with an interest in multi gpu solutions. . . . i am constantly looking for best band-for-buck and do not feel unqualified to help people here in Video.

At this moment in time - if i WERE buying multiGPU - the "edge" definitely goes to SLI and i would chose nVidia over ATi if price were similar.

at the least, consider it a bump for your thread

Stop calling names. Post up a scan of the receipt for your videocards which you proudly claim to have paid for and I will drop it. Until we see the receipt we are forced to conclude you are a member of AEG/Nvidia's marketing division.

If you have any doubt about the videocard I claim to own I can post up MY receipt.

You knew that SLI/Xfire users have a 10 to 1 ratio or even more. So what? If you were interested in knowing how many ATers have Multi-GPU (as stated in your FP) you would've made a multi-gpu poll. However you did not. Maybe I should start a poll with who has 7900GTX and who has a X1800XT? Sure it's not the same thing, and maybe not even close. But the poll is useless, because Xfire had lots of problems lately, and just recently started to mature. Xfire boards are hard to find (vs. SLI boards), also master-cards, not to mention the stupid cable thingy. You gain nothing from this poll, it only makes more flames. You knew that the minute you posted this Thread.

Anyway, more ATers have SLI rigs.

lol this is a rediculous post... Why are we forced to conclude that he is a member of AEG cause he doesn't want to post a scan of his reciept?? that doesn't make any sense. Why should he have to convince anyone on here? esspcially those that Why can't we leave it at Rollo just likes NV's solution better etc? I don't get why some members are so agressive towards Rollo. Sure some of his posts are def Pro NV but there are quite a few others that are totaly biased towards ATI and I don't see anyone jumping down there throats.
