I've come across people who depend on coffee to run in the morning, and it's pretty much become acceptable that they take the drug to function. Is this you?

I personally just like the taste but it also messes with my stomach so I avoid it.

Try good Arabica coffee light or medium roasted that should be easier on your stomach.

i have a bad reaction to caffeine and i dislike the taste of coffee unless it has a lot of sugar and cream and other shit. so i dont drink it.

i usually have water, but sometimes i will drink some decaf tea.

I used to be a raging teetotatler when it came to coffee (and pretty much all caffeine)...and then some 10 years ago I discovered that I could barely function without it. so yeah, I needs it hard.

Coffee is more of a ritual to me, not a need. I don't need the caffeine to function and on my days off don't drink it at all. When at work I'll grab a cup at coffee break time. Most of the time anyway. In the summer I might have an iced tea or some other cold beverage instead of coffee.

I consume 4 ounces of coffee within 5 minutes of waking up, about 15% of my daily intake.

I can function without coffee in the morning, it's mostly the difference between whether I tell someone to go **** themselves in the morning while I'm functioning.

Nope. Nor do I like coffee.
In fact the smell can make me sick if I'm exhausted and had too much pizza the night before.

I drink 1-2 pots per day. If it weren't for the screaming headache I could function fine without it, but I'd prefer not to.

Whats the logic here, the acidity in coffee is the most common cause of stomach irritation.
Arabica is higher in acidic content and darker roasts produce far more N-methylpyridium (NMP) which reduces the amount of acid the stomach makes when exposed to coffee.... Just sayin'

if you need lower acid coffee you should drink cold brew.

I'm more or less like this too. I like the caffeine but don't require it and don't necessarily need it on my days off but I usually make it anyway cause, well, I like the ritual and relaxing with some nice hot coffee. However coffee is one of the first things I do when getting to work and I look forward to it.

No, I like the taste though. What really gets me going in the morning is drinking a big glass of water.
