POLL: Do you text message on your cell phone?

I keep seeing ads for text messaging on cell phones. I know it wildly popular in Asian and European countries (cuz it's so cheap), but I don't see many people doing it here.

Nah, I don't really see the point. I'd rather call someone and leave them a message. I heard stories in college, however, of people text-messaging answers to each other during exams. :Q

I've never once used it. I don't even know what I'd have to do with the phone to do it....

My brother said in Asia it was way cheaper to send someone a text message. Here in the US, we'd rather talk to the person.

i also heard the people are so proficient at it, that they don't look at the keypad to type. they'll be walking down the street typing away, while talking to someone next to them.......dem crazy asians....

i also heard the people are so proficient at it, that they don't look at the keypad to type. they'll be walking down the street typing away, while talking to someone next to them.......dem crazy asians....

I can text in with my phone in my pocket, while talking to people around me.

Yea, interesting story...I was on a field trip for school and really bored, she accidentally sent me a message(she entered the wrong number), I was bored so I struck up a conversation, never intended to talk to her again, the next day she starts talking to me again, much to my suprise...and then a few days later we meet, go out a few times...now she's been my girlfriend for almost 9 months.

heh that would be interesting...I didn't even want to talk to her in the first place, I was just doing it to pass time, she goes to the nearby inner-city school, so i figured she was all ghetto'ed out and stuff, like most people at that school. I was pleasently surprised when I met her, to say the least.
