He is actually keeping his campaign promises in spite of constant obstructionism by the party that will remain nameless.
I trust him a LOT more that I ever trusted Obama simply by looking at the records of each.

Nameless because you're ashamed of the republican party for obstructing Obama every step of the way? You can't possibly believe dems are obstructing, they control nothing.

Oh and you are a complete garbage person in every way if you trust anything about/from Trump. You're a traitor to your country.

Your question assumes that he is in some small way a trustworthy person regardless of the situation. My answer as always is nope.

Why wouldn't you trust him? Do you think he's going to hand over the keys to the US? Maybe sell him the armed forces? Maybe he just wants a little one on one time with Puti for a quick brojob.

Can you explain what is gained for America by having no official record of the conversation? What legitimate purpose is served?

It’s bizarre that he has duped you so thoroughly that even when he’s breaking campaign promises left and right you think he is keeping them.

Where’s the reduced deficit he promised? Where is the better, cheaper health care for everyone he promised? Why did his tax cuts overwhelmingly help the rich when he pledged to do the opposite? Why isn’t Mexico paying for the imaginary wall he isn’t even building?

The only promises he kept were his pledges to do racist and/or xenophobic things. Since those are making the average person worse off, it’s not exactly an accomplishment.

So that Mexican-paid-for-wall is getting put up right now, eh? Have any picture of that Mexican-paid-for-wall, useful idiot?

Or the national debt being on the road to paid off. 4-5-6% annual GDP growth. Middle East peace deal. Infrastructure plan. Cheaper/better healthcare.

Who are the 4 retards who voted yes?
I'm one, maybe even two, ya'll know how us conservatards love to cheat.
Way I figure it, someone could just ask the translator what was said. Or even take it a step further and realize that the president of the US of A can talk to whoever he goddamn well pleases.

Another way to look at it is to ask who were the 31 retards who think they get to dictate who the president gets to speak to.

Even though the translator couldn't talk about it even if they wanted to last time Trump didn't even have a translator, he just relied on Putin's. Regardless I'm still waiting to hear of a single solitary legitimate reason why Trump would want no one else present who could attest to the contents of the meeting. Do you have one?

Maybe he wants his autograph, perhaps some bedroom advice, he is getting on in years. Or perhaps it's that Trump can't fart without it being leaked to the media. If Trump is a traitor, we're already screwed, if he's not then there is nothing to worry about. You assume nefarious activity because it fits your belief system and agenda, you see guilt because he hasn't offered justification for his action. That's all well and good, but I don't share your paranoia. You require proof of innocence, I require proof of guilt.

You're projecting; I didn't say anything about guilt or innocence. I simply asked for a single legitimate reason and you can't provide one. If Trump had one other person in the meeting then it would be obvious where any leak came from, making that concern illogical. So again, can you think of even one legitimate reason for him to make it so we have no record of the contents of the meeting? I think it's a poor idea to presume guilt OR innocence, I think it's better to just look at the situation objectively and rationally and from that perspective I cannot think of any reason why it would be better for America that no one other than Trump knows what happened in that meeting.

Put aside partisanship for a minute and just pretend this is president X. What do we gain from this?

Its so hilarious how most of you don't trust Trump alone with Putin.... Do you guys seriously give Putin this much credit?! I am sure he would be VERY flattered. I swear, you people give Putin the status of a God, no less! Why are you letting CNN brainwash you to such an extent?! Putin doesnt need to beat United States at anything. He already won, as long as you people give him so much power in your minds.

Its like you folks think Putin is some kind of a paranormal wizard, like Rasputin or something. Like he can mind control Trump.I cant believe you are all laughable enough to believe that the Russians actually influenced presidential elections... You, Americans, think that Putin, the president of Russia, could have effect, on the presidential elections in the most powerful country in the world! Just stop for a second, and think about how ridiculous that sounds. Please, take off your tinfoil hats, and stop tuning in to CNN and Fox.

Look, I am not saying Putin is a friend. He's not your damn friend! He's gotta look out for himself and for his country. Just like all your presidents look out for your country! And yes, he will try to take as much as he can from the world, same as US does! So please, don't demonize him for doing what a president should do for his country. Remember, the same exact thing you are blaming Putin for, is going on right here, in US, under your very nose, and you are ok with that!

And you're naive enough to believe the myth of American Exceptionalism. "We couldn't possibly be influenced by Russian campaigns, we're 'Murica!"

There is tangible evidence Russia made serious attempts at influencing the elections. We're not just talking social network posts and ads; we're talking hacking attempts on voting infrastructure and seeding stolen information through WikiLeaks. And then there's Trump almost going out of his way to be soft on Russia, refusing to enforce sanctions and even having to be told "DO NOT CONGRATULATE" (which he ignored, of course) when Putin won his latest term. Gee, I wonder why we're concerned that Trump may be played by Putin? Even if you throw out the mounting convictions against Trump's staff and assume the wilder parts of the Steele dossier are wrong, Trump appears to be easily manipulated.

Also: stop being a Putin apologist, please. Putin has political opponents and journalists assassinated. He rigs elections at home, and at least tries to do so abroad (he was pushing to get Marine Le Pen elected in France, for instance). He invades countries because he 'feels' parts of them belong to Russia. Trump is doing horrible things to the US, but I'm not going to give an even worse person like Putin a free pass for that reason, like you do.

Thinking that Russia could have an effect on presidential elections in the US simply requires common sense and a rational look at the evidence. To think Russia COULDN'T have an effect on our elections would require near complete ignorance or willful denial of reality. Trump's margin of victory was ~77,000 votes across 3 states out of nearly 7 million votes cast in those states. Even if you restrict it to actual votes instead of eligible voters Trump's margin of victory was about 1%. If you don't think that a sustained propaganda campaign can make 1% of voters stay home or 0.5% of voters switch their choice you're living in a dream world.

It looks like you might be falling victim to some propaganda yourself.

It's not that unusual to meet with other leaders of friendly nations one on one. It is pretty weird to meet one on one with a person you're currently likely under criminal investigation for conspiring with, however.

You have an extremely weird understanding of the powers and responsibilities of the POTUS. It seems you think of him more of a King or Emperor--someone who is above their position and not subservient to it (the latter being the reality for the person sitting in the POTUS chair, regardless of whether or not you accept that).

To be more direct: No: the president absolutely doesn't simply get to speak to whomever they god damn wish, however they god damn wish. Especially when you further consider that Trump has a very small minority support in this country. Clearly, through any quantifiable measure conceived by humans, he does not currently represent the people.

Trump's gotta help out with Putin's plans for the midterms, and plans for 2020, he can't have anyone hearing that.

You mother Fu*king simple minded low I.Q. Low life son of a bitch Or... garbage person or another way to look at it... a traitor to your country.

Do you know why we get to know what is said between them? To avoid further Trump treason. To avoid Trump selling out the country. To prevent further collusion. To honor the fact that that mother fu*ker works FOR the people not himself. You god forsaken dumbass! And he should definitely NOT BE WORKING FOR PUTIN! No! Trump DOES NOT get to talk privately with whoever he wants to! He is not a private citizen. He is a civil servant. He DOES NOT speak for himself he speaks for the people. If he wanted private time with the Poot he should never have run for office.

I have no clue how you were ever allowed to be mainstreamed from your rehabilitation center but they fu*ked up! You are ill prepared to be apart of decent society.
