I mean, your premise is ultimately flimsy when there's there's far more evidence to suggest that Trump is working on Putin's behalf than not (refusing to enforce Congress' sanctions, praising Putin at every opportunity, planning a meeting with Putin without any observers). It'd just be nice to see you put in more than a throwaway line that can easily be dismissed.

You're really going to harp on the Hillary thing given that Trump was busy settling a fraud case for his university before he was even inaugurated, and multiple campaign members have been indicted or pleaded guilty to crimes conducted both before and during Trump's run?

There's strong evidence that Trump is purposefully being soft on Putin at a bare minimum. Trump regularly praises Putin, a dictator who rigs elections and has political opponents assassinated; he refuses to enforce sanctions that are broadly supported by both Democrats and Republicans; Trump has had strong financial dependencies in Russia; when Trump is in calls with Putin, the Russian leader preys on his fears by complaining about "fake news" and the "deep state."

Oh, and let's not forget, people like Flynn, Manafort and Papadopoulos have either been indicted or pleaded guilty to actions relating to Russians. But I'm sure you'll pretend those are just coincidences.

Well, Mueller continues investigating so it's impossible to say, yet, if a "major disaster" will occur as a result of that part. Regarding Israeli intelligence, I have no idea. I imagine Israeli is less trusting with the US intelligence agencies now, which is certainly a big deal. Either way, it's not like they're advertising it.

Trust is what's at stake. The obvious conclusion that Trump can't be trusted is put up against why he should be. Well, given that Trump is a very well known pathological liar gives him Zero credibility. As such, Zero trust is given in return.

Why there's an argument here about trusting Trump when the facts of the matter are so plain and simple to understand is beyond me.

So the logical question to ask isn't why Trump should be trusted, it's why should he be trusted at all? The guy has been caught lying what, thousands of times already when even a hundred should have been more than enough to disbelieve anything he says at all?

That the goal posts toward placing trust in Trump have been moved a hundred miles (and counting) outside the stadium by his supporters doesn't mean that we should all go outside with them and play along with this charade they're hoping to pull off for Trump's sake.

IMO, Trump's supporter's faith and trust in Trump is their problem to deal with and for the rest of us, to make certain that Trump is held personally accountable for every single lie he makes every time he makes them. That Trump chooses to employ the shotgun approach toward his lying to the people in order to overwhelm us with the sheer number that comes out of his mouth doesn't mean that he should be ignored or excused for making them.
