POLL: Does anyone like any mouse made by Apple?

I liked the Mighty Mouse but as others have said once the scroll ball gets dirty its useless.

I just bought the Magic Mouse and its great. I love it. I also don't game so my opinion may be one sided.

I tried the Magic Mouse at the store and wasn't really crazy about it, but honestly, I think that for a lot of us that walked away feeling like that it, the feeling could be attributed to something simple.

We were standing up. If we were in a chair at our normal desks and had the mouse there, I wonder how many of us would change our tune?

But frankly, my VX Revolution is good enough for me (and just to be sure, I have a spare on the table next to me ) and I have better things to spend $70 on.

Mighty Mouse sucks.

Magic Mouse is pretty good, but takes a little getting used to.

I alse like the Apple Pro Mouse, but it only has one button.

Calm down Apple hater, the Mighty & Magic mouse are both good mice. Simply because you don't like them doesn't make them any less worthy. You seem to love to shit on Apple threads with your "Apple could release [insert poop/vomit/etc] and Apple fanbois would buy it!" The multitouch on the Magic Mouse is actually real cool. I don't own one because I don't like the ergonomics, but if they fix that in v2 of it, I'll buy one. Think of it like this, ANY mouse will work on a Mac, people with Mac's are forced to use a Mighty or Magic Mouse. I know plenty of Mac owners who have Logitech & Razer mice. This might shock you, but some people actually like the Apple mice, an this might shock you too. They're not the steaming piles of shit you make them out to be.

No, they're genuinely bad mice. Yes, I've used both (my university uses both on the Mac machines).

Actually, it's a pretty common complaint among Apple users. Apple's mice are widely regarded as some of the worst in existence. (The puck of course taking top "honours" on those lists)

My favourite Mac keyboard of all time is the Apple Pro Keyboard. Too bad it's only USB 1 though.

I like the sleekness of the latest (wired) aluminum keyboards (with numeric keypad), but the typing feel isn't as nice IMO.

Just seems to me like all Apple cares about is being sleek. The ergonomics and functionality fails so hard.

Well, I think the iPhone is sleek and very functional.

I'll just say that Apple tries to merge sleekness and ergonomics. Apple often succeeds, but sometimes fails miserably too.

The last version of the Mighty Mouse isn't all that bad, I have a few in use at home.

But really it's hard to beat a good weighted comfortable mouse with two clicks and extra buttons like back and scroll wheel click so you can map it to things like spaces and expose.

Where I work we're about 50/50 PC's and Mac's and it's about 95% non Apple mice in use.

magic mouse is great, except it drains the batteries on my 2AA apple wireless keyboard really fast.

The only Apple mouse I've actually found decent were the rounded beige ADB mice that came with the later revisions of the AppleDesign ADB keyboards in the late 90's before they went to using USB.

I also had a puck mouse about 10 years ago. Yuck, a $10 Logitech cheapo was better. I keep a Mighty Mouse as a spare but the cable it too damn short - useless if you're righthanded and all the USB ports on the Macbook are on the left.

I have never used a mouse made by apple, so I didn't vote. Although... Logitech mouses work just fine for me! For about $30 you can get a nice wireless mouse, that is perfect for gaming.

Not a defense, but the mouse was designed to work with the Apple keyboards which have had USB ports on them for some time now. The keyboards at least come with USB extension cables... why none for the mice? Little shortsighted there at Apple.

It really is a shame, because I like their keyboards both the desktop versions, (typing on an Apple Aluminum right now) and the laptop ones. And their trackpads are second to none... but god, their mice need some work... Maybe they should just do a deal with Logitech, I could go for a white and silver VX Revolution

I just had to use, or, more accurately, tried to use, an Apple mouse (and old single button version) and it reminded me of how much I dislike them (and reminded me of this thread).

I really like the simple MS Optical mice.
