924S: 5-speed manual with full synchromesh.

914: 5-speed manual used to have full synchromesh, first gear and second gear synchronizers are very tired.

Motorcycle: 6-speed manual.

What does that have to do with anything? When I got my current car, I was a sophomore in college. The furthest thing from my mind was "Wow, I want to impress the 1337 peeps on ATOT with my incredible stick shift smoothness." The only reason why I haven't gotten rid of my current car is b/c it has been nothing but good to me and routinely gets about 29 MPG on every tank.

My next car will be a manual though...not b/c it's the "popular" thing around here on ATOT to do, but b/c it's what "I" want.

Some of you guys need to get over yourselves when it comes to things like this

I wonder if the guys talking sh*t understand that a built auto has the potential to be faster than a stick. I'm talking high stall TC, shift kit/valve job, with an inline tranny cooler. What you get is freaking 3k+ rpm launches and instant, neck jerking shifts that no human can possibly out shift.

For my next car I wanted to buy a stick, but this thread almost makes me want to buy another auto and build it up. All you guys talking sh*t about autos are just a bunch of closet ricers.
