Look at it this way: Try being honest (that doesn't mean mention the other woman - there's no need to go looking for a fight). If you've got a codependent wailer on your hands, it's better to know it now rather than later. Well, first I think you need to sit down with your current girlfriend and talk about your feelings. Don't throw away a possibly great relationship, just because you are feeling a little restless right now. Sometimes we all feel that way, but it passes. It's part of being human. But if you are not interested anymore, and really do not feel you will be happy, then don't feel obligated to stay with her. Just make sure you end the old relationship before moving on to a new one, or you may end up all alone in the end.

Tell your current g/f that you need some time to think. As the saying goes, separation makes the heart grow fonder, so if she's the one for you, you'll really miss her during your time apart, and this means NO contact, phone, email, or otherwise. Set it for like a week or whatever feels comfortable for you. This could benefit her too, and make sure she's comfortable with it. Don't go out with anyone else during this time, lets not turn this into a small Temptation Island. Keep it clean and faithful. After the time apart, the both of you sit down and have a heart to heart about your feelings, etc. See where it goes. You may discover new things.

Azraele's right. Try it solo for a while. You might think that you could hang &amp; be ok but that you'd rather be happy --- then eventually that desire to be happy will consume the comfort factor and turn it into disatisfaction. It may take a month, it may take years, but it will happen. Been there, done that, got the bumper sticker.

Yeah I think I need to be alone for a while. My whoel life I have had pretty long relationships// Lets see. Jr. high.. 8-9th grade..
Highschool. jr-fr in college, then fr in college-jr in college... then jr in college till recent ... I grad in 95 you can do the math. I laid off school for a year as well..
But yeah I think its time for me to open my wings. Plus when I graduate I want to be able to pick up and go where ever my heart desires..

Trust me man ... I am the nicest *and funniest* guy you will have ever met. Every guy might talk a lot of macho, playa type trash, but deep down inside, there's definitely gotta be that kind loving heart that cares for another person whom you love more than even yourself. I am just one such guy I too have that very thing called a heart that makes a lot of my decisions - the remaining few are taken care of by my dick

Anyways, I could tell you an in depth story about why we broke up, how much I love(d) my honey and how sad I really am right now but I'd rather just get over it and move on with things just cos I have so much more of my life to live!
