I rather like all the stability control/traction control options the GM system offers.
My corvette had a few modes:
traction/esc on
traction/esc off
copetitive driving - no traction, partial ESC (let you get the ass-end way out if you did it in a controlled manner, but would stop it from snap oversteer)
My Sky RL has all those plus
traction off, full ESC - this one let you spin the tires but not get the car sideways.
Personally I love competitive driving mode, the car is still responsive to everything I want it to do, but if the car feels that the oversteer is out of control (that I'm about to do a full spin around) it'll play with the brakes and throttle to bring the car back in line.
If I remember correctly the manual states that in competitive driving mode the car will modulate the brakes and throttle to keep the car moving in the direction the wheels are pointed. Basically it's a drift mode
But if I'm shopping for a sports car with a well designed chassis it is not a deal breaker for me. (Viper, Noble, Etc.)
