*poll* Far Cry or Painkiller

After seeing all these posts about 2 forthcoming great games like Far Cry and Painkiller I was reaaly curious to see your opinions on this question.
I myself prefer Far Cry.

I'll probably eventually get both. Really liked both of the demos.

That's a tough call! Farcry is sooooo pretty and PainKiller has uber physics and mindless violence. Oh the graphics aren't too shabby either I'll take them both unless Pacific Assault beats them out of the gate

Lust, beautiful jungle vs mindless killing, that is indeed tough decision. I probably buy both. My Radeon 9800 Pro has do some work for a living now!

Crap... Give me 3 simple choices and I choose the wrong one. I selected Painkiller instead of Far Cry.

What do you expect though? I live in Florida!

I may get both but Far Cry is a sure purchase for me. I played a alpha or beta of Painkiller and it's got some kick arse physics and effects but reminded me of Serious Sam with the amount of baddies and the way the baddies spawn.

The game Painkiller sure looked beautiful. I would have helped them make it a more playable/exciting game for free. Too bad I was looking forward to it before the demo. I will pick up a copy when it hits sub 20. They should have had more triggers like HL or more suspenseful like RE or more scary like SS. Not "old roots" like quake (supposedly)

Painkiller. And I've played both demos.

1. I like the mindless violence
2. I like the setting/mood
3. I like the graphics/physics
4. I despise army-type games

I'll buy Painkiller when it's available.

Looks like far cry has a clear lead here.
I'm most surpised though by a significant percentage that doesn't like them both

Haven't played the FarCry demo yet but just got the demo for Painkiller, it is sweet
There is something strangly satisfying about pinning a demon in the head with a stake to a wall/floor.
Oh and it's quite pretty too. The 'pain weapon' has the most animation for a weapon I've seen since probably UT2k3. I'll check out Farcry too, but my vote seems to be leaning towards Painkiller, Physics>Beauty though Painkiller got its share of beauty too.

Is it me..or is this gonna be a GREAT year for FPS!....UT 2004, FarCry, Painkiller, Stalker, Doom 3, HF 2, BFV. So many choices! So much eye candy. This is a good year for PC gaming. Lucky I have a job so I can afford all this stuff!

I have both, but I'm going to finish Far Cry before I try out Painkiller. Far Cry is awesome.
