Hmmm, I've never seen Hot Topic. Are they online? I'll have to check. A long time ago I liked Commander Salamander, but they have never been down here in my state.

Yes toolgirl, clearance shopping is a high art form... so is checking out consignment shops. I like vintage clothing. It's that costume fetish of mine...

Is there a generic option for people who don't care about having a particular brand? My daily wear is a pair of jeans or khaki's and a 3 button polo shirt. I buy them where ever is handy when I need them, frequently walmart or jc penny's. A shirt is a shirt...and as far as jeans go, mine don't say levi and they only cost 1/3rd as much.....

/me is amused at the idea of Isla buying clothes from Hot Topic...

Are you gonna get a Marilyn Manson shirt, or one of those long black goth dresses?

the only stuff they have worth anything there, IMO, are the boots(they got rid of my favourite pair ) and the band tee's(as they are very hard to come by up here )

though their international shipping prices suck :|

hmmm....

$24 Calvin Kleins from Sams Club for my jeans.
< $12 button up shirts and polos from JC Penny and Rue21
<= $3 Arizon tee shirts from JC Penny

I've never spent more than $25 for a pair of jeans, and I've never spent more than $20 for a "dress" shirt or polo.

You may as well wipe your ass with a $20 bill and flush it down the pot if you drop hundreds of dollars on "brand name" clothing.

What's the freaking point?

lol vi_edit, name brand jeans are a waste of money, yet here I am with a pair of $40 structure jeans on now, and several more structure/AE in my dresser

Nautica all the way. I love their stuff. Very classic looking and well made. I'm willing to pay extra for it because I know it's going to last. Usually stock up when it goes on sale.

I also love North Face outdoor clothing but it is expensive. I been luck though and been able to get all my stuff on sale.

Don't get me started on Tommy H. What a bunch of overpriced crap.

Personally I prefer whatever I have that is clean enough that it doesn't stand up on its own. I really don't care where my clothes come from, most of my stuff is actually just from Lion Store (or is it Dillard's now?, oh well).

You need to add Ralph Lauren. Nearly every dress shirt I own is a Ralph Lauren. Most of my normal shirts are RL's as well, followed closely by Tommy.

They're built like a brick s*ithouse and they're cheap as hell. $10 for a pair of pants that you can scrape across pavement for hours without ripping, why not? The workshirts are cool too. Other than that, I buy whatever is cheap and comfortable.

Hot Topic is a cool store, you can't find that stuff at many places. It's the best store to get band shirts and acessories. Especially good for stage clothes.

B.C. Ethic is nice too, but they're stuff is really expensive too so I usually only use them as stage clothes.
