i'm thinking this poll will have an overwhelming votes for YES because people who do not interact with computers daily will not even really participate in a computer forum.

Yes, 90% of my time is in front of a pc with qws3270 mainframe telnet sessions, vnc sessions into unix machines, and a dozen or so mainframe dumb terminals surround me. but every once in a while i get to stand up and walk onto the computer floor to mount a tape or pull and distribute the job print output.. woohoo!

yep, I sit in front of an SGI indigo II. It's old, but it does the job. We're supposed to be getting some new Linux desktops, but I think the artists get them, before the support depts .

I work support for a Visual Effects house. Mostly SGI machines running IRIX, some Linux boxes, various configurations, mostly dual-proc P3 933's, all running Redhat.

And if I'm not sitting in front of my computer, I'm walking to someone's desk, and fixing theirs or walking to the machine room, and plugging a monitor and kb into a rackmount machine, and looking at it. 'Tis the life of a support monkey

i'm a student, and i work 19+ hours a week... 97% of my time at work is in front of a computer. the other times are spent walking around to different places.

Self employed, but its sitting in front of a screen. Some days I'll work 3 days/week, sometimes 5-6. 8-15 hours when I do work, usually.

I work as an environmental/forensic chemist and often I work with 3 computers throught the day. And sometimes I probably play with a close half dozen other ones.

I do a whole lot more computer stuff then I thought I would.

Yep, but about half the time its around a bunch of disassembled ones in the a/v lab. It's cool though, playing around with computer technology people won't see for another month.

No, I do not get to sit in front of the computer all day.
We have one in our Company Office, which the leaders use to check e-mail amoung other things.
Other than that I lead Marines all day and we study, practice and train for war..............
