Since I have a R300, I am holding out for the R350.

I've had one card in all the gf lineups... 1 through 4, and I just bought my first ATI product a FNC radeon 9700 Pro, so I suppose it depends how nicely this Radeon treats me.

im a college student on a budget. So im most likely going to get a Radeon 9500 Pro by the summer. When the price comes down more.

Holding out for a 9500 Pro.

The mainstream availablity of newer nVidia cards should coincide with my tax return. Hopefully by then R300 based cards will have undergone a price cut.

ATI, definitely. With their awesome 2d, I cant get back to Nvidia.

ATI being a step ahead doesnt hurt either

I have no idea. I am planning on upgrading my graphics card a little over a year from now unless my TI4400 breaks.

Probably a 9700pro after the next gen card comes out. I don't really feel like paying $400 for a card games can't even take advantage of.

The next video card I get will probably be an ATI AIW 7500, for several reasons:
1. The AIW functionality is sure a plus, and I don't care about gaming speed.
2. Decent 2d, better than Nvidia's (generally)
3. The remote controller rules.
4. QUIET. There's no fan on it. The current Nvidia "cooling" solution is just a joke, and anyone interested in silence (like myself) is going to scoff at it.
5. Drivers seem to be pretty good now.

Of course, this could change if Nvidia offered something equivalent (which I believe they are) and I'm not in the market for a new card as of yet - but unless something changes in the next six months, ATI is the way I'm going.

When I swapped out my GTS with my 9500, I IMMEDIATELY noticed an improvement in 2D after driver installation.

I voted ATi, simply because I would buy an ATi card right now. In the future, I would buy whichever one provides the best price/performance ratio.

ATI all the way. I don't think Nvida will ever make a card to completely blow away the competition like Ati did with the 9700. Plus I like geting a TV tuner/capture card with a computer (I do film stuff) so the Ati AIW is my choice anyway.
