Computers are nothing more than a property that can let you play game and communicate with other people without having face-to-face contact.

If you said wife, I'd be there....I've only ever dated girls who are into the abstinence until marriage thing. If it was any of my previous girlfriends, I would definitely say computer, much easier to deal with, much nicer, never complaining about stupid stuff (I take that back, I'd have to have Windows installed), and more fun to hang out with. But, I guess that is why they are all ex-girlfriends, eh?

I am taking this as a fantasy question.

Lets see here, stranded on a desert island with either a woman or a computer. I am going to assume there is no one else on this island. I am also going to assume you can still get upgrades for your system via air mail drop, I have sufficient cashflow, and there is sufficient power and access to the internet via fast wireless connection.

Since you are alone on the island, I wouldn't want to submit someone else to be alone with me. Imagine it. No other human interaction. My wife and I get along very well, but I wouldn't want to strand her on this island with me without having other people to talk to. It would drive her crazy, and me too for that matter.

Me, I am a loner. Give me the computer. I would love my partner too much to submit her to eternity on a desert island without other human interaction.

Just me.

i bet you in 5-10 years the number will be more like 60% people rather be with a computer.

I haven't read the entire thread, but if you voted for a computer, then you have some serious issues.

Just remember it's called a disk drive, so don't do anything that'll land you in the hospital. (...let the 3.5" floppy/zip/etc. jokes begin )
