both is good. either is suck - its also a fallacy (and a basic one at that).
where is the choice for sanity, something in-between both ? neither is inherently
evil. its the practitioners we need worry about

God reveals God (partially) by means of, or through an unfolding of, Science.

duke, that's not necessarily true. Assume for the moment that there is not God (which I do not believe). The nature of man is a result of evolution and surviving in this world. One of the traits that has allowed humans to survive and thrive is their curiosity. Curiosity leads to invention of tools which promote our survival. And as it has already been stated, curiosity leads to science.

Okay, let me clarify. Without God there would be no "man" and there would be no "world". Get it? Besides, God is a "scientist" and science is how we better understand God.

<< Pay attention, student

Although that was probably intended as an insult, it's quite complimentary, considering you, Elledan, are one of the most closed minded personas I have encountered here.
>>

Care to give an example?

Sadly, you're wrong. I'm absolutely not close-minded. I've already scanned my program for any traces of this so called 'closed-mindedness', but no traces were found. Sorry.
If you've been paying attention, you'll have noticed that my opinion on various topics keeps changing. First I was pro-death penalty, but now I'm totally against it. When I was young, I didn't mind religion, but after seeing what the devastating effects of religion on society are, I formed an opinion about religion, which has changed even more.

Logic, meditation, study, knowledge and curiosity, those form the key to understanding. I've seen what's beyond this life, this solarsystem and beyond. I would say that the only closed-minded person here is you, SirFshAlot.

In regards to being close-minded, replace the word "religion" in the statement above with "science" and you make the same point. As an example, the atomic bomb from the realms of science. Just so, there are many positives in science, just as there are in religion if you but open your eyes/mind to it/them.

Best example comes from a comedian named Bill Hicks who said (and I'm paraphrasing here), just because you have a bad relationship doesn't mean you're going to give up dating now, does it?

I recently read an interesting article entitled,"Why Does God Allow Suffering?", but then perhaps that topic isn't valid here as it begins with the given assumption that God does indeed exist.

As for science, that's a two-edged sword. Another difference is that religions are always ideologies. Science isn't an ideology. Science isn't even a system, belief or anything.

We are science, science is us.

Science uses proofs. In Religion it's commonly called faith. They are not the same thing. You can't ask someone to "prove" Religion, yet in regards to something like Christianity one could "prove" locations mentioned in the Bible.

Many hold their faith in that science will prove all things.

While science has been the tool or instrument of wars religion is the true inspiration. People are killed, or kill, because of their believes. Science has merely made the process more efficient. I know of no war that has been declared in the name of science.
