I don't really drive it. It just sits outside most of the time. I don't think I've been in in it all week. Waste of 400hp.

WTH is revmatch? I have a standard and I drive it. Nothing more to it. Who cares I guess.
Do you mean down-shift when coming to a stop? Yes I do. Sometimes I don't even have to use my breaks. It's great when the tailgator behind me doesn't realize and almost rearends me.

I'm not sure what you mean by revmatch, but I shift up when the gears are synched if that's what you mean.

An example of revmatching:
Suppose you're at 45mph in 5th.
You want to downshift to accelerate, so you:
1) push in the clutch
2) move the shifter into 4th
3) depress the gas pedal to bring the revs up to the proper rpm
4) bring your foot off the clutch

If you skip step 3, you are not revmatching.

Revmatching is using the gas pedal to get the engine to the proper rpm before engaging the gear.

You can also get the engine to the proper rpm by using the clutch (using the wheels to drive the engine). This is not revmatching.

Using the gas pedal isn't exactly needed on upshifts, its more letting the clutch out at the right rpm.

i revmatch while going up, to an extent, not perfectly, but closer than if i'd just shift straight up, it's nothing extraordinary, just how i drive i guess

hey there isn't an option for revmatching on upshifts only!

When I do it going up say I'm in 2nd gear I just rev to about 3200 RPM with the clutch out and shift into 3rd without using the clutch as that is where the gears are synched. Don't do it going down though.

Heh... I remember this one time the clutch cable broke on my old Mustang, and I drove it around for a couple of days without a clutch. I had to learn the art of "rev-matching"... but it worked surprisingly well.

How did you get it started in 1st?

I revmatch on downshifts, or if I'm in calm mood or am downshifting to slow down I just let the clutch out slow.

I find if I drive in a normal "sane" matter, I naturally upshift at the proper RPMS, say if I'm at 4k RPMS in 2nd and I wanna go to 3rd, when I'm done casually depressing and releasing the clutch, the revs are at around 3k, pretty close to where they should be

Yes. I got used to doing this because in my last car the synchros had gone to sh!t so I learned where the gears synced and skipped using the clutch other than to start and to bring it back down.

I rev match both ways, but I don't heel and toe, nor do I do the whole shift into neutral, release cluch, etc etc.

I drive my car like I stole it, sometimes. I like high G turns, and I like oversteer. Ask hdeck about that. Usually I drive slow and shift at 3k, and don't engine brake.

Always rev match going up thru the gears. If I'm slowing down rarely. If I down shift to pass then yes.

How can you drive a manual and not revmatch at all? That's even less cool than driving an auto. I hate people (yes hate), who drive their manual like crap. I see people riding their clutches at lights as if they are ignorant of the fact they're burning the crap out of it sitting there rocking their car back and forth.

Well ok I don't hate them. I feel pity
