POLL: How many times do you reinstall Windows over one year? (Your primary PC)

I was one of thoes ppl that had hardly no probs with windows 98. The longest i ever had 98 up and running was almost 1.5 months and if it was not for upgrds, lan partys, and other crazy stuff like moving around it would have been up far longer then that. After having 98 on my computer for over a year I started to format it every 3 months just cause I found out that 98 would get slower over time and degrd in a way. Now I run windows XP and still format it every 3 months just cause i can and i like the 3 month thing ... f;aks;dfks;

Well I have installed/reinstalled WinXP about 10 times in the last week. But that is due to a couple problematic MB's and some new purchases Matter of fact for the barebone crunchers it now takes less than an hour from insert CD to finsished on shelf crunching

Two or three times is my usual limit; reinstalls of Windows XP Pro are usually necessitated by my purchase of a new motherboard (rare), or a new hard disk (slightly less rare), or a rearrangement / redistribution of the hard disks among my computers.

XP, Only when I upgrade (knock on wood) or I do something so stupid when experimenting that I can't fix it.

(Used to "pencil in time for re-installs" every 6 months or so with 98se.)

From 1999 to 2003 I reinstalled Win98 only once just to delete all the unused dlls that were installed with various programs.

On my server, it's whenever I screw it up, which is about every 2-3 months.

Family's PC is on it's original install.

My laptop has had XP installed 3 times since I got it 2 weeks ago. But hopefully it won't need doing, cos it's all OK now.

My PC gets done probably 1-2 times every month. Due to me messing it up, screwing with hard drive configuration, installing crap on it, etc etc.
