Marijuana isn't legal now and I smoke it, so this is gonna be an easy question...no. If it were legal, I wouldn't. I smoke to be a rebel, if there was no rebelness to it, what would the point be?

Might I suggest adding a second poll?

"Do you currently smoke marijuana?"

That would tell us how many people are stopped by current drug laws.

Stopped enjoying .... stopped smoking it.

Things don't change much, actually. It was different times back then because you were 17.

Lot of people smoked pot when they were young, and they all use different excuses to justify it. I smoked when I was out of high school, too.

I've heard people say, "hey, it was the 60's- everyone was doing it back then". I've also heard people say, "hey, it was the 70's, everyone was doing it back then". While still for others, it's "hey, it was the 80's, everyone was doing it back then".

For me, it was the mid 90's. Times change, but people dont. Face it- someday you're going to hear someone say, "Hey, it was the summer of love and drugs. August, 2035- I loved those days!"

It's never ok for kids to act like kids except when the "responsible adults" are telling about what they did when they were kids. Then what they did was ok, since it was a "different world" back then.

i was not saying that i was excusing the act of smoking pot cause times were different back then. you are correct... every generation say that about everything they do that they wish they handn't. As for me... pot smoking is no huge deal. Some ppl dont drink, some dont smoke cigs. some think that smoking pot is a huge and terrible thing. personally, i think if someone wants to be stoner... fine. but, if they screw up school, work... whatever... it is up to them.

my comment about times being different back then was more about me and how i fit into those times as opposed to that time in world history. During those times... I was different.

on a side note... i think it is the stupidest thing ever that ppl complain about prison overcrowding and the paroling of repeat violent law breakers... then we lock someone up for having an ounce of weed. but i am not in charge, so ....

I like being sharp mentall, so I don't drink or do anything.

yeah, man i know what you mean.

Smoking willl kill you. It would be better to bake it in brownies and eat it. That's safer.

I smoke it anyway! If it were legal and cost the same as cigars, I'd smoke A LOT more. I smoke about 1/8 weekly/biweekly, depends.

Nope.

I did a bit of that in my teens. All it did was make me stupid, hungry and thirsty.

I'd probably smoke it as much as I smoke regular tobacco which is like a handful of times a year.

NOPE! Did a lot when I was younger , but wouldn't start again now even if it was legal AND cheap.
I have better things to do with my time and braincells.

Sounds like a good plan, too much of a good thing is a bad thing.......

I wonder if it was legal, if it would be legal to grow and sell it.......

I'd probably smoke more then I do now, but not much.

I don't understand why whether its legal or not matters that much, sure I can understand that you wouldn't want it in your car or even have it on you anytime your in public - but its not like you can ever get busted smoking in your own home. So in that case, I would smoke it in my car and stuff on the way to the club or something, and not have to worry as much - although it would probably still be illegal to smoke and drive - I wouldn't care about that part of it.

So basically, whether its legal or not is irrelevant to me. I base my descisions on my own morals and ethics, or what I think is right or wrong. Not what the government thinks is right or wrong. Besides, my state and now most others have the legal limit set so low for alcohol that 2 drinks in 1 hour would make it illegal for me to drive. In other words, over 90% of the country drives illegally all of the time. The legal limit is pretty low though, so most if not 99% of everybody who drinks would not be too impaired to drive at this point, but the law makes it that low because 1 out of every 1000 people is impared enough to effect their driving at that limit. Once again, a few ruin it for the many.

Where as I try not to drive even if I know I'm good to go, because I don't like to drink even with a little alcohol in my system. Where as marijuana doesn't impare my driving enough to make a difference, in some ways it makes me a better driver. I don't feel wrong or unethical driving while a little high, I do after a couple beers. One is against the law, and one pretty much isn't (depending on blood/alcohol laws) but one is a lot worse then the other IMO.
