No i'm willing to bet he works for MS... I paid 38 and some change for my copy of WinXP Pro full legit straight outta the MS employee store Well i gave the money to an employee there whom i'm friends with and they bought it but its still a legit copy

I got XP when MS offered their Go Pro deal. I would have still been using 2000 (which was a copy of my cousin's Win 2000 Pro retail disk) if it hadn't been for that. I mostly pay for just about everything I use now days since I can now afford them. Even the Adobe image program I use since they came out with Elements 2 (which is great for photos) and it is under $100.

Only OS I've ever got that didn't come with a machine was XP pro. Got it off a forum member over at the H. Turns out it was an NFR copy

Oh well, still payed for it I guess.

I've found a way to get legal copies of most windows versions since 98 came out, haven't paid a dime for one yet.

My uncle works at microsoft so I get them off him.

$15 for absolutely legit copy, ususally get them free for christmas/birthdays though. sometimes he just shows up with copies of the latest OS.
