To all those who think that a Prince Albert is painful...most who have had it done say it is less painful than many other piercings (nipples, nose, etc).

As for &quot;ka-chunk&quot;, no reputable piercer would even think of using a piercing gun for anypiercing, let alone a genital one.

Here's a little FYI that should make you think twice:

The Prince Albert piercing is a very easy piercing to heal, because every time you urinate you clean and disinfect the wound, I have never heard of a single person having a problem with this piercing. Urine is sterile when it leaves the body because it has been purified by the kidneys, and it contains a large amount of ammonia which is a strong antiseptic. The more water you drink the quicker the piercing will heal, try to drink at least 8 glasses a day . You may experience some bleeding in the first 36-48 hours, don't be afraid this is normal and will stop eventually. If you are worried that it hasn't stopped please call us.
There is one drawback to having a Prince Albert piercing, because the ring goes through the urethra you will dribble when you urinate. This problem is worse for some people more than others. When urinating into a toilet bowl you have to stand with your legs on either side of the bowl, and make sure not to shake when you finish, just relax for a few moments before putting your penis away. When you are standing at a urinal stand with you legs well spread close to the urinal and lean forward with your back arched. The problem improves with time, and the insertion of the thicker ring, but it never goes completely away.

I too am curious what the wife thinks? As for doing it, it seems you have already given this alot of thought so you will probably be the type that keeps it clean. Being a married man myself, I am sure three weeks of no-activity won't be a trumatic issue. And if I ever have kids I would hope they got pierced before tattooed, because when they decide the fad is over they can always take it out. Like everything the piercing and tattoo fad will come and go, but I'd rather dish out more money for a re-piercing when it comes back than that damn Whinnie the Pooh (Insert your Favorite Character here) tattoo sitting on a persons ankle.

However, I am curious as to your inspiration to get it done, most people do it for the attention or rush, but in that area its not like your gonna be waiving it around at the local diner.

No pics, just kidding.

It is done, I have had much worse experiences in my life than that, I was worried and nervous for no reason. The whole procedure took about 8 minutes, and the pain....well wasnt bad at all, sharp enough to make me gasp, and it only lasted about 1 second. I have already urinated for the first time, no burning or anything and it didnt effect &quot;the outcome&quot; at all. As for infections, I will be keeping this area cleaner than clean, and hoping for the best.

Why did I do it? I have been thinking about it and reading up on it for 2 years, I just happen to like the look of it, and lets me feel a bit rebellious, without anyone knowing. Kinda like getting a Harley, I just saved $12,000

I'm curious what in the hell gives you people the right to call him nuts. I had my cartilidge pierced a couple of years ago. I've since taken it out for sports reasons. Now I have my 2 ear lobes pierced once and my tongue pierced. Why did I get them? Because I wanted too! Imagine that.

Coming here to call him crazy and perverted crosses the line.
