Same for me but the game was Battlezone (FPS/RTS blend). Default was inverted and thats the game I learned to play FPS on. OTOH I have a friend who doesn't invert, drives me and him batty if we have to temp swich computers or something. Whenver I play a game on his X-Box I always have to hunt down the Invert option.

I don't understand how anyone could ever play like that unless they play tons of flight sims..then again if I ever play a flying game I still dont use inverted controls. I switch them immediately..I don't care if its unrealistic for flying..I'll never fly a plane anyways.

Nah, I'd say I'm pretty old school as far as gaming goes, having started with Ultima 1, and I've always hated inverted mouse.
I played a bunch with some of the best Quake 1 players in Sweden back in the day, a few used inverted mouse, but most didn't.

I used to use inverted, but I switched. I got a decent bit better after I switched. I play with a very low sensitivity and a huge mousepad. Railgun FTW!

These days, it seems i play my mouse FPS un-inverted, but I *must* play inverted on a console/dual stick setup. I think its because, on an FPS - i use the same scheme i use on my mouse during normal windows use (Just makes more sense to me with the crosshair in a game), but unless i'm inverted during console gaming - i really get messed up.

Always inverted, computer games w/ the mouse, and console games w/ the controller. It's just more natural for me, and yes I did play flight sims a lot in years past (this seems to be the biggest constant in everyone who playes with inverted mouse).

All my friends think I'm an idiot, and hate it when we switch off controllers playing video games. =)
