I cringed and laughed at the same timeOne of several theories I have for a future under Traitor-in-Chief: He and Bolton will attack North Korea. North Korea will respond with missiles that hit West Coast metro-plexes. Trump will later declare that he can "really" win the popular vote, now that Democrats on the Left Coast have been incinerated.
From a national security perspective I don't think much has changed. But I think from an economic standpoint we are looking at a worse situation as twitter in chief sends us into a trade world war.
What do you mean is the country safer? As in are we about to go to war or whether individually we might encounter violence? Or something different?
We're on our third national security adviser in 15 months, our 2nd secretary of state, and have a completely gutted and morale'less state department. We are facing cyber security threats from multiple nations, trading tweet insults over the size of nuclear buttons with aspiring nuclear powers. Cozying up with the Saudis that just executed essentially a coup on their previous administration. Flattering dictators around the world. And instead of actually doing anything the CIC spends his time tweeting about his campaign victory, defending himself against his sexual history and just making an absolute mockery of our country.
No. I do not feel like we've got a good hand on the wheel at this time.
This is all true but do I feel less safe? No...
No nation or group is going to attack us anymore than they were the day before Drumpf is going to take office.
I'm looking at it from less of a military standpoint and a more overall health of the country, standing in the world, economic safety and security etc... They all apply to the overall safety of the people.Definitely not more safe, but I don't know that it's more physically more dangerous for the majority right now.
Certain populations are certainly threatened however.
I'd say we're are carrying tremendous risk right now, but stunning incompetence has preventing materialization. For now...
LOL way less safe. Putin wouldn't have the balls against Obama to point nukes at Florida but he's outright advertising it and using his lapdog in the White House.
I wouldn't be surprised if he just took Alaska back.

From that angle less seems to be absolutely the case IMHO.

Objectively, you're an asshole.Take NYC as long as we're at it.
