Poll: Let these sites guess your location based on IP

Both gave the exact same answer...
Both were wrong....

Mixmind is off by 23.5 miles (based on lat/long),
ip2location is off by 1.8 miles (based on lat/long).

Both need more significant figures to get the location correct.

My vote is for ip2location.

Both got Denver, CO right....Maxmind was closer on the lat/long coordinates....but neither pinpointed it.

ip2location guessed my city as one almost 45 minutes away (Niagra Falls vs. Hamilton)

Maxmind guessed my city as the next one over, technically attached to this one (Dundas vs. Hamilton)

First one says I'm in San Jose, CA, the second says Walnut Creek, CA. I'm in Oakland, CA. The second is actually accurate however, since our datacenter is in walnut creek and all internet traffic routes through there.

2nd one had the next city over, still in the same metro area, Lat/Long off by about 10 miles.

IP, ISP, etc. were all correct with both.
